I think you may be right. I saw some good comparisons of George/Feorge on another site some time ago that also made me wonder. Hmm

I'm a firm believer that they were all replaced in order for the Beatles, circa 1967 to be so different in their looks and their sounds. After 1967 they no longer were harmonious as their vocals were prior to '67. The material was so different afterwards.
Paul's vocals would have been the most difficult to imitate, but with work someone with skill could adapt to Harrison, Lennon's and certainly Ringo's vocals. But the harmony was never the same.
It wasn't until I had seen the pictures of the differences in Paul's images, that I looked at the differences in the other Beatles and noticed they were different as well. It's no wonder that the 67 Beatles and later materials didn't have the same depth as their material 65-66.
Long hair, short hair, facial hair or not, face shapes do not change. While skin sags as one ages, and one can gain weight or lose it, you still can tell who the person is or not.

George being told he could be replaced: The Beatles - A Hard Days Night (Dead Grotty) www.youtube.com/watch?v=wd3zZa5xGgMI didn't really understand this scene until fairly recently. It's so telling!

I'm thinking there may have been a stand in for George in Magical Mystery Tour, b/c he seems to have returned for Revolution. I'm thinking he was permanently replaced ~ 1968, at least before "Let It Be" in 1969.

Blood From a Clone by George Harrisonfrom the album Somewhere in England They say they like it, now, but in the market it May not go well as it's too laid back. You need some oomph-papa, nothing like Frank Zappa And not New Wave they don't play that crap Try beating your head on a brick wall Hard like a stone Don't have time for the music They want the blood from a cloneI hear a clock ticking I feel the nitpicking I almost quit kicking at the wall There seems a confusion, under the illusion That they know just what will suit you allBeating my head on a brick wall Hard like a stone Ain't got time for the music They want the blood from a cloneThere is no sense to it Pure pounds and pence to itThey're so intense too makes me amazedDon't want no music but, they're making you sick with Some awful noises that may get played By beating their heads on a brick wall Hard like a stone Ain't no messing 'round with music Give them the blood from a clone Where will it all lead us I thought we had freed usFrom the mundane seems I'm wrong again Could be they lack roots, they're still wearing jack boots they're Marching somewhere in the pouring rain Beating my head on a brick wall Hard like a stone Don't have time for the music They want the blood from a clonePerhaps this is why he was ultimately silenced after that bizarre attempt on his life...

Along with FAUL, John, George and Ringo all had stand-ins in MMT. That was part of the gag.
"Blood from a Clone" is clearly about Sir FAUL & his silly love songs.

Hello faulconandsnowjob! You know me from some other forums (other names).
I agree that the Beatles were replaced with doubles. Paul was the first, John second. All four had been replaced with their doubles on Sgt Pepper. Revolver, in my opinion, was the last full album the Fab Four did together.
And Hard Day's Night was the last movie they did together. Paul had a double on Help! and they started to replace the others in subsequent movies. Let It Be (the movie) had all four replacements.

It was Paul in "Help!" but I do think Ringo had been replaced by then.
Ringo was the 1st to be replaced, IMO.

I suspect George's song Taxman had something to do with his being replaced. It's definitely one of the greatest anti-NWO songs of all time. Not only that but it's the opening track on the Revolver album (released 1966), regarded by many as the greatest album of all time. That must have really ticked off the PTB-types big time. ;D Actually, Taxman may have had something to do with ALL 4 of them being replaced.

Ringo was replaced before Help!(1965).I'll have comps of the two Ringo's skulls from the side to prove that soon. As for George, I don't think that was him after 1966 except for a few appearances.
