I hope there isn't already a Prince thread.

Okay, in the song "Facedown" Prince doesn't seem to be giving a "f**k you" to his label ... he actually seems to be talking to HIMSELF. Or, perhaps, the Prince that he has replaced? In the song he mentions "Sign the name they gave you". The song also constantly says "Dead like Elvis" ... meaning what? Alluding to the way Elvis died facedown in his bathroom, or suggesting that Elvis isn't dead?

Prince even attends his own funeral.

Also, the band in the video is The NPG .... they say it stands for "New Power Generation", but i've heard that NPG REALLY stands for "Not Prince's Group" ... meaning this is the replacement Prince's assembled group.

yes, i am starting to think he has been replaced too. i saw an inteview with him and it just didnt look or sound like him. and another thing, this dude was talking too much and everyone knows prince is shy and he basically didnt have the persona of prince.

I believe this. About 10 years ago I had a dream I've never been able to explain. I never dream about celebrities, but one morning, early, I dreamt that Prince had died, and there was an elaborate funeral as well as heavy T.V. coverage.

I was disoriented upon waking and remember feeling sad that he had died for a few moments when I first opened my eyes. Then I realized it was a dream and wondered why I would have such a specific, dream about a celebrity that was so vivid and random to boot.

I usually have to avoid watching videos for a couple of reasons - I don't have time and also my computer always acts up when I visit those types of links. This has happened on six different computers we have here. So I tend to benefit more from photo comparisons, while I do believe videos certainly have their value.

One thing I've found recently is that people who are clued in about all the stuff we explore here are being attacked by a lot of different directions - to try to shut us down, to get us mad at each other, to discourage us. So I for one really want to offer my support to EVERYBODY HERE who is posting and researching and trying to share ideas about these controversional subjects. I think we should support and understand each other and try to be extra careful about getting triggered, angered, alienated, or annoyed. I have been guilty of having my own triggers that set me off and I'm trying to really focus on all the GOOD things here at this forum and all the great work the Mask and Artemis and others do, even if I don't always see things exactly the same way.

So anyway - group hug?
