Something about Garbo always bothered me. I found an excellent photo resource for her here: garboforever.com/Menue.htm#She seems to have had an abrupt change of appearance between 1925-26: The latter Greta, uh -- Freta -- was known to be good friends with Baroness Cécile de Rothschild.

This is from david icke's thread, the poster named turquoisefyre wrote that: "Greta Garbo was killed in the 40's because her bloodlust became too obvious - she was in a Vampire cult-, the big boss of MGM at the time "found" a replacement for her but the replacement never made the grade like the origional. and yet". I emailed him and he gave me the replies and link for that: i always come across some interesting stuff when i explore a bit... there is quite a couple fascinating stories in that book. but i think most people will only say it's fiction... but you know that truth is stranger than fiction... don't think you'll find those stories on the net, maybe just yet... www.amazon.co.uk/Secret-Histo...1332034&sr=1-1I really would like to know what happened to THE SPHINX...

From the David Bowie song "Quicksand" (1971):
D I'm the twisted name on Garbo's eyes A Asus4 A Living proof of Churchill's lies I'm destiny D I'm torn between the light and dark A Asus4 A Where others see their target divine symmetry F Should I kiss the vipers fang G Or herald loud the death of man? A F#m7 Em7 D I'm sinking in the quicksand of my thoughts A Asus4 A And I ain't got the power any more
If Greta Garbo was imposter-replaced this would make her the earliest known celebrity case. The next suspected one in time would be Shirley Temple's replacement in 1943-44. Could it be she was just alternating with a double rather than disappearing completely and being permanently replaced? After 1947 and the founding of the CIA, there comes the abrupt flood of many film/TV/music celebrities being replaced. Before that I think it was probably quite rare.
Of course, she later became famous for her inexplicable early withdrawl from show business, "I vant to be alone," and becoming a recluse.

While at a ski lodge, Larry Blake sees instructor Karin Borg [Greta Grabo] and decides to sign up for private lessons. The next thing he knows, she is Mrs. Blake. When he announces that he is going back to work on his magazine in New York the next day, Karin refuses to go with him. She later comes to New York, buys expensive clothes, and goes to meet him when she sees he is with old flame Griselda. Caught by Blake's business partner, O.O. Miller, before she can leave, she explains that she is really Karin's twin sister Katherine. Hard to believe, but that is what she tries to make everyone, including Larry, believe. Larry, however, has serious doubts, but plays the game to the hilt as the worldly Katherine tries to take him away from both Griselda and Karin. Written by Tony Fontana {tony.fontana@spacebbs.com}

There is a brief time line of Greta's/Freta's life here: www.aprille.org/greta/timeline.htmlAccording to that she also had a change of sexual orientation some time between 1926 and 1928. She went from a relationship with John Gilbert in 1926 to: "[1928] Greta is romantically linked to actresses Lilyan Tashman and Fifi D'Orsay. Her official statement to the press is 'Gilbert and his stupid moustache drove me to a life of sapphic love.'" So, it appears that it was more than her appearance that changed at this time (1926-28). Garbo's last movie was the clue to her replacement. CORINNE GRIFFITH was imposter replaced before the founding of CIA. It's a trick as old as the world is This is Corinne Griffith (date unknown), one of the biggest film stars of the 1920s. According to the wikipedia, in 1966 Corinne Griffith testified in court ... "... that she was not Corinne Griffith. She claimed that she was the actresses' younger (by twenty years) sister who had taken her place upon the famous sister's death. Contradicting testimony by actresses Betty Blythe and Claire Windsor, who had both known her since the 1920s, did not shake her story."I don't know if Corinne was Freta or not. Maybe Corinne's "dead" sister? Here is Freta in her last movie, appropriately titled Two-Faced Woman. Another thought about Corinne Griffith ... She was a very big movie star in the 20s but her career fizzled out when talkies arrived in the early 1930s. Apparently, her voice was not that great. This reminds me that in 1952 MGM released the musical Singin' in the Rain, a comedy about Hollywood's transition from silents to talkies ... The story focuses on a silent actress who was a big star during the silent age but had a terrible voice. So, the studio hired an actress with a great voice (Debbie Reynolds) to do all her singing for her. Hint, hint, nudge nudge, wink, wink ... Anyway, just some random thoughts about all this ...

Something about this image strikes me when you hear of the "story". How she went into "seclusion" and was isolated in her later years.
Something can be said, perhaps if this was a true replacement scenario, the woman who was known as "Garbo" in the latter years had a meltdown of sorts as to identity and being in the public eye that she did remove herself from being seen. Or perhaps the illuminists kept her in hiding and used the story of her getting away from fame....you know how they fabricate images, they fabricate stories of how certain celebs go into hiding of sorts, during the time they replace someone and the replacements are ready to be made public. I've written about this on other sites and may have mentioned my ideas on this. By stating that when some of these people are not in the public spotlight for a lengthy period of time and return looking very different, we get several stories like "drug rehab" or recovering from an illness or accident...which would be sufficient time to have someone replaced and ready for public viewing. This has become all too familiar as we dive into the mysteries behind many public images.

In the book, Open Secret, about gay Hollywood, there are claims that Garbo and Dietrich had a sapphic relationship back in Germany (Austria?) and that Garbo left Hollywood because of Marlene Dietrich. Maybe Dietrich knew that Farbo was a replacement? Who knows? But she never talked about her reasons for retiring because they had to do with Dietrich and they were VERY personal.
