Something is going on with Stallone these days. He just doesn't look the same. What happened to him? Is it plastic surgery? Did he age bad? Comments.

He was replaced, no doubt. From what I can tell, sometime in the mid-1990s. I'll post some more about him later.

An interesting sidenote: if you look at pictures of Stallone in his early-mid 20s, he appears to be an excellent Paul McCartney stand-in/double type. One wonders if there is a connection there.
"Rocky Racoon" with the boxer's black eyes .... Stallone's height is listed at 5'9" which is not too far off JPM's probable height of about 5'8".

The tabloids used to be filled with details of his personal life, like the rocky marriage with Brigitte Neilsen. All that gossip and paparazzi stuff abruptly vanished in the '90s.

Stallone's persona has great propaganda/brainwashing value for the military-industrial complex, as a Hollywood right wing/militarist icon for the American working class, with some racist overtones. He is Rambo-Rocky. The Great White Hope who Single-handedly Won the Vietnam War and Defeated the Soviet Union in the Afghanistan Boxing Ring.

The Stallone character is of great psy-war iconic value. They can't just let go of that should the real, frail Sylvester Stallone become ill and perish.

TKIN says that the imposter who replaced the real Stallone is Tommy Sands, who was married to Frank Sinatra's daughter.
They do some photo comparisons to prove this. One argument against this that I can see is that Sands seems a bit too old and out of shape physically to do this. But perhaps they could do a convincing disguise job for those faults with implants. Anyway, it needs further study.

The face looks like rubbery latex mask. And the facial features, and skull/jaw shape, are clearly different from the original, real Stallone. The same strange, foam rubber-face syndrome that we've seen (in photos at the NIR and TKIN sites) with Mickey Rourke, Faye Dunaway and Axel Rose (or: Fourke, Funaway and Fose).

This brings us to an aspect of biometrics/dopple-ology that is the other side of determining if one person is really two or more different people. That is, how to determine if two different people are really the same person. As with Alex Jones-Bill Hicks. Or "Neill Aspinall"-Faul. It can be a bit trickier.

What I noticed was the chin. Stallone in the early pics has a wider, squarer jaw and it seems to be narrower and a little more rounded in the recent pics.

I agree with you beatlies, if a replacement did happen, it was sometime in the mid 90's.

Actually, after looking at some web photos, I'm not so sure it was the mid-90s. Might have been early 2000's. I'll hold off on any approximate date for now.

Edit: Fylvester Fallone's debut may have been as the master of disguise-"toymaker" in the CIA-glorifying Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over, in the year 2003. It seems to me like the real Stallone up to that film, though I'd like to see more photos of Avenging Angelo (2002) also.

Stallone was known to abuse steroid-type drugs. What if he died in that all-important jingoist, runup to the Iraq War II invasion
year of 2002, or thereabouts? What a blow to the Bushes that would have been, had it been revealed, in terms of national psychology and morale, for their "warrior" US vs. the world goals.

SYLVESTER STALLONE was preparing a film on the murder-by-kicking of Edgar Allan POE a few years ago... it is still in preproduction limbo, now listed for 2009.. will it ever be released... will be the same script completed in 2002, one of Stallone's lifelong ambitions? And what does that mean about the nature of SYLVESTER STALLONE?

Photos for ear and profile comparisons would be good. The 2006 "Rocky Balboa" Fallone could be used as the standard by which to compare.

Funny ---"Balboa" is historically a Spanish name, not Italian. Balboa, Spain's brutal conquistador of the early 1500s.

Some black and white early photos; he really did look like Paul McCartney. Shows him painting, and his surrealist art collection, including Salvador Dali.

Good for voice comparisons. I notice he has a certain accent and speech impediment that are MISSING from the 2006 "Rocky Balboa" movie release interviews you can find on youtube.
I am more convinced than ever that Stallone was replaced after seeing and hearing this above Barbara Walters interview.

The voice is pretty close. It's hard to tell the difference in that. But the face is so obviously different that it is much more than age. Stallone's face is longer.

Agree about Stallone's face being longer than Fallone's. The shape of the jaw is different; that's one reason I'd like to see profile photo comparisons. Also ear photos, there are some smoking gun differences there too.

WASHINGTON: Rambo is lining up with Republican hopeful John McCain in the battle for the White House.

"I like McCain a lot," said US actor Sylvester Stallone, who plays the Rambo screen hero, as he threw his support behind McCain, who is taking a lead in the race for the Republican Party's presidential nomination.

Hard on McCain's heels though is Mike Huckabee, already backed by Chuck Norris the actor who plays the Texas Ranger in the hit television series.

Stallone said of McCain, a Vietnam war veteran who spent more than five years as a prisoner of war, that "there's something about matching the character with the script."

"And right now, the script that's being written and reality is pretty brutal and pretty hard-edged like a rough action film, and you need somebody who's been in that to deal with" it.
