"Gunman Who Held Four Firefighters Hostage Is Dead
An armed gunman who was holding four firefighters hostage in a north Georgia home is dead, authorities said.
After a few hours of negotiations, Gwinnett County Cpl. Edwin Ritter today said a SWAT team set off an explosion inside the house in Suwanee, Ga., where the armed suspect was holding the firefighters captive to distract him. They then stormed the home and exchanged gunfire with the suspect, whom police are not identifying.
"The suspect is deceased," Ritter said.
The four firefighters who were rescued inside the home suffered "superficial wounds from the explosion," Ritter said, but nothing serious, and "everyone is going to go home."
One SWAT officer was shot on either his hand or his arm, Ritter said, and was transported to a local hospital, but his injury is not life-threatening.
Gwinnett County police today said county firefighters responded to what they thought was a routine medical emergency call for either a faked heart attack or other medical condition, Ritter said. When they arrived at the home, an armed suspect took five firefighters hostage.
One of the firefighters was let go because the suspect wanted the fire truck moved away from the house, Ritter said.
Local authorities and SWAT officials made "several communications" with the suspect this afternoon and even brought him food, Ritter said. The suspect was demanding to have his cellphone, power, cable service and other utilities turned back on and was holding the firefighters hostage until those utlitites were restored.
Ritter said they decided to move in on the suspect because "it got to a point where we believed their [the firefighters] lives were immediate danger."
"We are still deep into this investigation," he said.
Police are not releasing the names or identities of the suspect nor of the firefighters, or what sort of weapons the suspect had with him inside the home.
One fire engine and one ambulence responded to the home when the call came in at around 5 p.m. this afternoon, according to Gwinnett County Fire Capt. Tommy Rutledge. Once inside, firefighters notified their dispatch they were being held hostage.
Firefighters in Gwinnett County are also trained to provide medical care.
"These are firefighters who are cross-trained as emergency medical technicians, as paramedics," Rutledge said.
When there is the potential for violence, firefighters will normally wait for police to arrive, but there was "no indication that this call was anything other than a typical medical emergency," Rutledge said.
Television helicopter footage showed police and fire trucks surrounding the well-kept Walnut Groove neighborhood, located about 35 miles northeast of Atlanta. Residents were not being allowed into their homes in the area of the hostage situation."

First link video, above, has already been taken down/deleted. Try this youtube video instead: www.youtube.com/watch?v=23GZydYsorEAnd this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcVqZl5JBBoThis episode on aired on the FOX network on March 17, 2013, less than a month ago. sCIAeth MacFarlane (FacFarlane?) hosted the Oscars broadcast on February 24, 2013. The pre-event signaling, insider "wink" elements: Peter slaughters many people running in the Boston Marathon. Peter repeatedly calls in terrorist bomb explosions on his cell phone (apparently a suspected mode of bomb detonation in the BM attack, and a mass blackout/shutdown of all cell phone transmissions has been zapped across the people of Boston by whatever authorities have done this). Peter befriends a Muslim terrorist, joins his secret Islamic "9-11"-style terrorist group Peter repeatedly skydives from an airplane and kills and injures innocent people by landing on them (major news media now stressing a "no fly zone" is in place above a section of Boston where the attack occurred). For telling comparisons, see the 1990s Simpsons episodes that pre-signal the Sep. 11, 2001 inside job attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon. And the Family Guy episodes (both pre-9-11 nd after-9-11) and supposed real life experiences of Seth MacFarlane and James Woods relating to Sep. 11, 2001. And of course, this is the same Seth MacFarlane and Family Guy program that so often turns Adolf Hitler into a loveable, sympathetic cartoon character. "Seth McFarlane Calls 'Family Guy' Boston Marathon Bombing Clip 'Abhorrent'
The cartoon's creator responds to an edited video of the show appearing to predict Monday's tragic events.
"Family Guy" creator Seth McFarlane may make jokes for a living, but he's not laughing at one video currently circulating on the Web.
The comedian, who recently hosted the Oscars, took to his Twitter feed to blast an altered clip of his animated show that appears to predict Monday's horrific Boston Marathon bombings a month before they took place.
The video, which has inspired one of the more outlandish conspiracy theories already circling yesterday's bombings, combined two scenes from the Fox show's March 17 episode, "Turban Cowboy." Character Peter Griffin appears to detonate two bombs with his cell phone after being asked by NBC sports announcer Bob Costas how he won the Boston Marathon.
In the actual episode, Griffin wins the marathon by driving his car along the race route. The explosions, which are part of an entirely separate storyline, are tied to a terrorist group Griffin unwittingly befriends and blow up a bridge in the show's Quahog, Rhode Island, town.
The edited video began gaining serious steam when conspiracy website InfoWars posted a story about it under the headline "'Family Guy' Episode Predicted Boston Marathon Attack."
After McFarlane's tweet, the story's author, Paul Joseph Watson, defended his conspiracy protestations, writing, "It is now being claimed that the whole issue is an 'abhorrent hoax' merely because the two scenes from the same episode were spliced together. The fact that the episode depicted people being killed at the Boston Marathon, in addition to a separate clip which depicted two explosions, is not a hoax."
The InfoWars website has also labeled the bombings as a "false flag" attack, which is a conspiracy theory that the government fakes tragedies in an effort to manipulate public opinion.
This isn't the first time a TV show has been accused of predicting a major world event. Fox's short-lived "X-Files" spinoff "The Lone Gunmen's" pilot featured a plot to hijack a 747 and fly it into the World Trade Center, a year before the actual attack. "The Simpsons" also had an episode featuring a flier with 9/11 imagery, causing many to speculate that News Corp. founder Rupert Murdoch was somehow in on the attacks.
Today, Fox removed the "Family Guy" episode from its online platforms."
This what he said:
Seth MacFarlane ✔ @sethmacfarlane
The edited Family Guy clip currently circulating is abhorrent. The event was a crime and a tragedy, and my thoughts are with the victims.
"Seth MacFarlane Rips Edited ‘Family Guy’ Clip That Depicts Boston Marathon Bombings; Original Episode Pulled
Fox has pulled the recent episode from its Fox.com and Hulu that depicted mass deaths at the Boston Marathon, and Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane is peeved that an edited clip from the episode is circulating that makes it appear there was a bomb attack at the marathon — much like the real events that occurred yesterday that killed three and wounded hundreds at the marathon’s finish line. A Fox spokesperson confirmed that it has pulled the episode, which is titled “Turban Cowboy” and first aired last month, was pulled down today. YouTube also has marked some of the edited clips and discussions about the issue as “being potentially offensive or inappropriate”. In the actual episode, Peter Griffin is asked by Bob Costas about his performance in the marathon, and a flashback reveals Peter driving his car in the race, hitting runners as he goes (not that that isn’t offensive or inappropriate in its unedited form). “I’ll tell ya, Bob, I just got in my car and drove it,” Griffin says. “And when there was a guy in my way, I killed him.” Later in the episode, Peter gets friendly with a terrorist who, unbeknownst to him, is plotting to blow up a bridge. When Peter dials a cell phone the friend gave him, explosions and screams are heard off camera. The edited clip puts the two scenes together, making it appear as if the explosions came from the marathon. Tweeted MacFarlane today: “The edited Family Guy clip currently circulating is abhorrent. The event was a crime and a tragedy, and my thoughts are with the victims.”

Considering its just another staged event, I doubt anyone died there too. A world full of actors. Not that I side with that McFarlane scum, of course....
