Thanks for this, Artemis!
It's very possible that the "Ann" my friend thought he knew was actually already Fan because the time frame when he would meet her backstage and say Hi was more in the mid to late 70's, which is probably after the original was replaced.
But what was weird is how the woman we saw backstage in Atlantic City seemed to my friend like it was a different woman than the "Ann" he had known in the 70's and early 80's. I still wonder if it wasn't a stunt double or understudy used just to make easy money that week in Atlantic City. Turn up for a week, do a stripped down, pretty bad version of an earlier Radio City Music Hall show, (which my friend said she was great in) and make a few millions. But have your understudy do it, maybe! Hence her wearing the very dark glasses and hiding her face when she met with us, and her not remembering my friend's name.
So maybe even replacements use understudies to fill in for them sometimes?
Also, I noticed in many of the pics of Ann/Fann I reviewed the other day that in some photos she looks like a transvestite - and she is a popular woman to emulate in the transvestite/men doing imitations of female celebs/crowd. So it's even possible that she has sometimes been "played" by a male!

Surely its so. Remember SYLVIE VARTAN was replaced - among others by one or more males/trannies. MAE WEST wasnt MAE WEST up to a point, she died but the masquerade had to go on so her brother became "MAE" but it was found out only when he/she died. Of course, the truth was mocked at and it was said that MAE was always MAE... No comment... Look at JOAN RIVERS, I mean FOAN FIVERS and then take a look at FANN FARGRET. They ressemble, dont they? I swear one of FOAN's was impersonated by a man/tranny and so its the case with one of the FANN's.

I swear one of FOAN's was impersonated by a man/tranny and so its the case with one of the FANN's. I think you're right about Foan. In the mid-90's I did some (piss poor because I suck at it!) standup comedy at a club called Tatoo I think it was in NYC. Joan Rivers often performed in the main venue downstairs but she wasn't there that night. I had a funny chat with a guy who was in the musical review downstairs that was being performed that night. We shared a smoke on the back steps that led from one floor to the other - his dressing room was up near the comedy club where I was performing. When he came marching up the steps he was clad head to toe in feathers and sequins, sort of a La Cage Aux Folles crossdressing theme going on in the show he performed in - it was all men dressed as women performing as different "stars", faux Cher, faux Bette Davis, etc. Anyway, he said that I should come down and see the show if I could because there was a guy who sometimes would slip in and do a Joan Rivers walk on (as a Foan) and his voice, look, and mannerisms were so real that Joan herself would sometimes walk in behind him and do a five minute bit onstage where the tranny Joan was face to face with the "real" Joan. They usually only did that bit when Joan was physically in the house; she was apparently a good sport and loved poking fun at herself that way. But that night the tranny Joan/Foan was going to go on for a few minutes as Joan and see if people could tell whether he was the "real" Joan or not. Sort of an inside joke to the regular audience members who were in on the switcheroo. I didn't get to see him, nor did I get to see the "real" Joan/or Foan 2.0, 3.0 or whatever - but it would have been a trip! I was still waiting to go onstage for my own bit upstairs. PS During many of Cher/Fher's tours she has done this same bit where the show opens with the fake Fher singing a song and then the "real" Cher comes on to sing. Of course, the real Cher has been a Fher for a long time.

Its funny how I came across this blog entry just by googling the term Mae West Imposter kidicarus222.blogspot.com/2008/05/mae-west-is-really-really-interesting.html1. As a result of her parents’ tumultuous home life, Mae West had to overcome childhood disabilities stemming from the fact that she was born without anything resembling a human face. That which we’ve come to know today as Mae West’s signature look was actually the result of much work on Mae’s part, as she cobbled it together using bits from the faces deceased and/or especially generous children. 2.Though she officially entered the professional world at age three, as a hand-painter of messages on conversation hearts, Mae West made her break into show business ten years later, after being “discovered” at a studio party whilst sucking on discarded cigarette butts for sustenance. Later that day, she made her debut on the DuMont Television Network’s popular Dido McGillicuddy Show as “Lesser Moppet.” 3. Mae West broke social barriers in 1954 by becoming the first American woman of note to marry a mummy, which she did in Egypt, it being the only nation to permit human-mummy marriages at the time. 4.It was Mae West who set the Cuyahoga River on fire, and she did it with a single angry glare. 5. Contrary to popular belief, Mae West was actually murdered in 1973 — by a fiendish doppelganger, who, coincidentally, was also named Mae West. This imposter fooled the media and American theater-goers, but lived out the rest of the official Mae West timeline with a decidedly more sinister bent. Being murdered also considerably hampered her attempt to fly around the world in a zeppelin, which is little mentioned in existing records. 6. As a result of plots and schemes by this second, evil Mae West, Mae West now holds the world record for “most prolific murderer.” Mae West died in 1992, obese and hated — particularly by the stable of children she kept in her basement. If you want to be technical about the matter, it was that very stable of children that killed her.

As a child Mae West did not have a face, and she got spare parts from dead kids and generous kids? ? What the heck is that? Maybe that's where Bill got some of his ideas, slapped fake parts from dead people to make his "Paul" look.... I was just born yesterday....by falling off a turnip truck...

IMO none of the people pictured in the second pic look the same as those in the first. A persons skull does not change with age.

IMO Claire Danes is a full rep. She has all the markings. Take a look at her evolution through the years. At one point here eyes were purely evil set deep in her head and glinty, silver colored. Looks like they've improved the eye sockets somehow, but still weird looking person. Her husband looks scared of her in that picture
