(I call it bullsh*t, but whatever... First black slave ever from the US... Get real.... They cant find his birth certificate, but they know he is related to that JOHN PUNCH dude.... Pass me the bucket....)
"President Obama related to country’s first enslaved man
A study from Ancestry.com has determined that President Obama is related to John Punch, the first black African enslaved for life in America--which would make Punch the 11th great-grandfather of Obama.
The connection is made through Obama's mother, Stanley Ann Dunhan. The website's records say she had ancestors who were white landowners in Colonial Virginia who descended from an African man, Punch.
According to the site's press release, Punch tried to escape indentured servitude in colonial Virginia in 1640 and was punished by becoming enslaved for life. The records show that Punch had children with a white woman, and her status as free was passed on to her offspring. Punch's descendents became successful landowners in the slave-owning state of Virginia.
This would mean that the first documented slave and the first African American president have a shared lineage, claim researchers. Said Ancestry.com's genealogist Joseph Shumway, "John Punch was more than likely the genesis of legalized slavery in America. But after centuries of suffering, the Civil War, and decades of civil rights efforts, his 11th great-grandson became the leader of the free world and the ultimate realization of the American Dream."
Genealogists seem to be fascinated with the current president's family tree: The site has also traced an Irish branch of Obama's family. And researchers at the New England Historic Genealogical Society claim he is the distant cousin of movie star Brad Pitt and six past presidents, including George W. Bush."

"Bieber is distant cousin of Gosling, Lavigne
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Call it the Canadian dynasty of teenybopper pop and movie stardom.
Genealogists at Ancestry.com say they've discovered teen idol Justin Bieber is a distant cousin of movie star Ryan Gosling and singer Avril Lavigne. Their family link dates back to some of Quebec's earliest settlers 400 years ago, the Utah-based company said Thursday.
As if Bieber didn't have enough superstar genes, Ancestry.com also said he's a distant relative of singer Celine Dion.
"The great thing about family history is that you never know what you're going to find," said Michelle Ercanback, a researcher with Ancentry.com. "It was a very pleasant surprise."
Ercanback said researchers begun tracing Bieber's family lineage about a year ago by paging through teen-idol magazines to find biographical tidbits from the pop star.
What they say they found was that Bieber and Gosling are 11th cousins once removed, and Bieber and Lavigne are 12th cousins. They share common relatives Mathurin Roy and Marguerite Bire, the researchers said. Both were born in France in the early 1600s, married in 1637, and moved to Quebec, where Roy worked as a master mason.
The genealogists also said Bieber and Dion are 10th cousins three times removed because they're linked to French couple Jacques Vezina and Marie Boisdon, who were born in the early 1600s. They moved to Quebec, where they died in 1687.
Ercanback said she didn't know if these celebrity links are "sufficient to point to the existence of a superstar gene."
In July, Ancestry.com announced they had found that President Barack Obama could be the descendent of an African slave, after an examination of his white mother's family history."

"Halle Berry: "I'm Related to Sarah Palin"
Could Halle Berry's next family reunion take place in Alaska?
The Cloud Atlas star, 46, recently revealed a surprising genealogical connection -- to former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, 48.
"You wanna know who I’m related to?" Berry said in a recent video interview with Extra's Jerry Penaoli. "Sarah Palin!"
The Oscar-winning actress (mom to daughter Nahla, 4, and engaged to actor Olivier Martinez) didn't specify how she was related to the politician, except to say, "In some twisted way...somebody sent me this information that she was my distant [relative]."
Berry isn't the only Cloud Atlas cast member with political connections. Her co-star Tom Hanks is a third cousin, four generations removed, of one of America's most famous presidents: Abraham Lincoln. Hanks, 56, has known about the link since he was a child and recently signed on to host the upcoming TV docu-drama Killing Lincoln.
"I'm related to Abraham Lincoln, and the members of my branch of the family are either cousins or in-laws or poor relations," the Oscar-winning star once said. "So when I was at school, guess which president I was always doing essays on."
Hanks told Extra that Berry's relation to Palin was in line with the interlocking universes theme of their new film, which opens October 26.
"This is the Cloud Atlas continuum without a doubt. I’m telling you, the connections that go through!" he joked. "It doesn’t matter who, what race, where, what time."

I say anyone who is anything in the realm of "fame" is related....they are all bred in and amongst their own. The degrees of separation among many are most likely not far from the tree.
I'm saying that to be famous, you have to be somehow related to someone else, whether distant, or just being related by parents, siblings, etc.

"Jolie-Pitt kids are the latest Hollywood offspring headed to a theater near you
Angelina Jolie's upcoming film will be a family affair! The Oscar winner's movie "Maleficent," while tells the fairy tale of Sleeping Beauty from the evil queen's perspective, will reportedly feature not one, but three of Jolie and actor Brad Pitt's children! Walt Disney Studios, the company behind the film, had already confirmed that 4-year-old Vivienne will play the young Princess Aurora, who's also being played by Elle Fanning, but Us Weekly is now reporting that 8-year-old Pax and 7-year-old Zahara will have non-speaking roles. "Shiloh was supposed to be in it, too," an unnamed source tells the magazine. "But she was bored and not in the mood during the day her part was supposed to happen, so she ended up not being in the film." However, Shiloh has been on screen before in her dad's 2008 flick "The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons."
"Maleficent" is scheduled to arrive in theaters on March 14, 2014. In the meantime, check out these other up-and-coming celeb offspring, whose movies will be appearing at a theater near you soon."
