John Ritter, the seemingly gay/effeminate but nevertheless adamantly heterosexual comedic-actor son of celebrity cowboy "Tex" Ritter. from the "My List" thread: John Ritter 1978 on The $20,000 Pyramid game show--- www.youtube.com/watch?v=mj8ybfSiVwE

As with Sean "Lennon" we may have hear a case of second-generaCIAion impostering(FohnFitterIdentityExtensionFoffspring2.0). Jason "Ritter" has directed a soon to be released Hollywood contemporary romance, Peter and Vandy, for which he modestly cast himself as the lead actor:

Hi Beatlies,
Thanks for showing the comparative photos so that we can assess when he was upgraded and can affirm that it wasn't just a firmware flash.
One thing I'm noticing when seeing the doubles, be they John Travolta, Eddie Murphy or Jason Ritter. The replacements seem to be smoother, with more glib, less edgy and seemingly 'better finished' and prepped. They are more ordinary, less genuine and present a brash Ego which surpasses the original in vanity, as if they were substituting bluff and quantity for talent and measure.
To say it in a nutshell, the doppelgangers seem to GLOAT.

From the German word "Ritter" meaning "Knight".

And "knight" is from the German word "Knecht," meaning "servant..."

So in viewing the previous photos above of John and Fohn Ritter, is this kid the son of the original, I wonder? Attachments:

Hard to say. By 1980 RITTER was already replaced for the 1st time I think. The Mask knows better than me.

Interesting that Faun Fritter #3 has that balloon face/head thing going on as well. The real John and the first two imposters did not have that round head and face.
Just something I've noticed with several of the celebrities in question they have a rather large, round face and/or head. I don't know if they were abusing steroids, or heads too big for the bodies, or what, just really peculiar.

I know that my viewpoint is not in the mainstream on this board, but this is another case of TWINS. Most of the time, one is effeminate (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender) and the other is straight. One twin - say, the effeminate one - will have the breakout role that makes them famous. After a period of years, the straight one will take over to give the first one a break. How do you think celebrities are so prolific and so multi-talented? One tends to do comedy better, the other drama, although one might cross over sometimes.
For example: in the case of John Travolta/Fravolta, the effeminate one did Saturday Night Fever because his forte was dance. The other (straight one) did Welcome Back Kotter on TV and has since taken over because the first one died.

I see your point LJ, but in Ritter's case I think the first double was a clone. Not a twin, not a human look-a-like but a clone. The 2nd double looks like he may be a clone also. Although the final guy looks like a human look-a-like imo.

This may sound really bizarre, but the one listed as Fritter #2, reminds me of Paul La Mat, he played John Milner in American Graffiti and in Melvin and Howard.
What ever happened to the actor??? Never heard of him after that, that I know of, so it would make sense a nominal actor disappears, and is used to replace someone more famous...
Now, I'm not saying this is a sure thing, this is just my sense on that particular man.
Makes you wonder about some of these people who may have been in some television or films, and disappeared....
Maybe used to replace someone else...
Nothing would surprise me.
I wouldn't throw out the idea of a twin in some rare occasions, but not with Fritter.
