Faneane has had a recent reversal of political views and change of appearance and personality. What's going on with her upper lip here? Appears to me the woman above has had some bad surgery. Janeane Garofalo doesn't hold back -- whether she's onstage describing a night of binge eating or on national TV calling the conservatives who attended last month's Tea Party rallies racists. Saturday night at the Alternative Comedy Festival in Somerville, the subject was her neuroses, and she left no obsession unturned.

She came out running, wearing shorts, black tights, and a pair of red Puma boots, and climbed straight into the audience. It was rumored that the Tea Party people were planning to protest the show, and she addressed the possibility right away - "If there's any teabaggers here, welcome, and as always, white power" - but there was no sign of them.
Because she's so outspoken, Garofalo comes off as fearless, yet she's anything but. In fact, she claimed she was so nervous about the protesters that she took a pair of scissors to her hair before the show.
Clearly, Garofalo has some issues, and many are of the addictive-personality sort. She told a story about looking for a snack at a friend's house and being annoyed at the nearly empty bag of chips she found in the pantry: It's the whole bag or nothing for her.
Alcohol is something else she's struggled with, and she's a fan of pills, too. A doctor prescribed an antidepressant to treat her fibromyalgia, and she likes the effect: "I had no idea I was chronically dissatisfied," she said.
Garofalo's hourlong set was more of a fascinating peek inside her head than a standup comedy routine. She doesn't want children, she told the audience, although she does have an imaginary daughter named Tiger Jane. "I don't have a fear of intimacy," she said. "I have a lack of interest in it."
It's ironic then, given her confessional nature, that she's not a fan of self-obsessed social networks like Facebook and Twitter. "It's narcissism. Take it from a narcissist," she said, once again directing her stinging social commentary at herself. "At least I have the decency to hate myself."
The late show Friday night had a much sillier tone. Eugene Mirman kicked it off with his off-the-wall lists and mass hate-mail campaigns against Delta Air Lines, and Rob Riggle kept it going with stories about the horrific scene inside men's restrooms at stadiums. After his set, Riggle joined the Upright Citizens Brigade for a hilarious series of improv skits based on an audience member's life, which, in the comedians' interpretations, revolved around Lowell being the black-tar heroin capital of the country.

 Her medallion is a star of David as far as I can see. I didnt know GAROFALO to have Jewish roots, on the contrary, or to have special feelings towards Israel. That could be considered a giveaway... Hmmmm |

Hmmmm If that is a Star of David it is odd considering Janeane Garofalo is/was raised devout, strict ROMAN CATHOLIC in New Jersey of conservative, Republican ITALIAN-AMERICAN parents and post-teen years became agnostic/atheist. In fact, I was going to write in this thread how I saw/heard Janeane Garofalo making blatantly anti-Semitic comments, mocking Jews and Jewish accents twice on diferent occasions on her Air America radio show, and once in one of her early televised Stand-up comedy routines. Janeane was on the "anti-Israel" side of mid-east current events in terms of being pro-palestinian, criticizing Israeli defense policy etc. Women's Jewish Star of David necklaces are usually not solid/filled-in the way that one on Faneane Farofalo appears to be, and it may not be a Star of David, hard to tell clearly from that photo. It could also be a Rastafarian type Star of David. |

I vote no....
Garofolo's political views haven't "changed" so much as she's a typical leftish hypocrite who talks a good game when a Republican is in the White House, but slavishly parrots the government line when a Democrat is in the White House. This is very common, esp among Hollyweird types.

This is very common, esp among Hollyweird types. Yes, her stated political views are basically the same. And she is not a real left/liberal person, just another COINTELPRO-type CIA media agent who says whatever they script for her outward lines and persona. She grew up an introverted, isolated ward of her rightwing parents and the Catholic Church, through which she was inducted into the CIA and transformed into this faux-hip, liberal slacker chick identity for the early nineties up to 2002 or so when she abruptly shapeshifted-mentally into an anti-war, left-intellectual, graduate student type of woman. But it was all fake and "Mockingbird"-CIA scripted from the beginning for Janeane. And it was only in the runup to the Bush-Cheney-Tenet invasion of Iraq and "9-11" Inside Job fallout period that Janeane became outwardly political and politically savvy, another change in her scripting, identity and programming. That being said, it looks to me like they have replaced Janeane with an imposter Faneane, purely on the physical changes we can see in her face, moles, bone structure, etc., and also the voice. I'd like to do more visual/audio research on her/them to nail this down with certainty, though. If Janeane has been replaced, what happened to her? Death or serious illness? Alive and well and reassigned to a new name, address and identity? |

The change in views I was referring to was that Janeane had gone
on record in the past as being supportive of dissent and the right to
protest, then recently Faneane made her infamous "Tea Party" rant
in which she claims that the tax protesters are simply racists (?). It
makes no sense, of course, and has the effect of condemning all
dissenters.
There was a YouTube video illustrating the change in her
views on dissent which I intended to post but I couldn't find it
(removed?).
Perhaps she was a CIA shill all along -- I really paid little attention
to her political views in the past. I just noticed her apparent change
of view on this dissent issue and noticed she's had a change in
appearance as well. I also have the subjective opinion that she's
had a personality change as well, the old charm is gone.
