"No pain no gain! Pamela Anderson is left bruised and sore after taking on the New York MarathonUntil Sunday, the only time most people had seen Pamela Anderson run was in the slow motion credits for Baywatch.
But instead of sleeping in on Sunday, Pamela joined thousands of other runners to complete her first ever marathon in New York.
While even the most seasoned runners dread the famous New York Marathon, the 46-year-old bravely took on the endurance race but was left paying dearly for her dedication.
And while it may have been her first foray into the sport, the former Baywatch babe did herself proud finishing the race at a respectable five hours and forty-one minutes.
The actress had previously confessed to being a little unprepared for the race, but as she was competing to raise money for charity she was willing to give it her all.
So much so that 46-year-old battled through an injury to get to the finish line.
Throughout the race the actress was seen grabbing her right leg but was still determined to finish.
But in an picture posted by Pamela on her Twitter later, it was clear her attempts to be brave had cost her dearly.
In the image, an exhausted Pamela lies on her hotel bed in her negligee, with a large bag of ice on her injured leg and on her groin.
Obviously not planing on moving anytime soon, the actress - who covered her eyes with her race bib - has a form roller to work on her stiff muscles as well as plenty of things to entertain her, namely a book and the television remote.
Despite the tough day, during her run the Barb Wire star also managed to achieve the impossible feat of looking great while completing the grueling 26.2 mile course.
For her run, the stunner donned navy three-quarter leggings with a tight blue and white tank which miraculously manged to cover up her famous curves.
Even though she did not wear any makeup, the star looked picture perfect as she walked along the streets of New York.
Pamela has recently chopped off her long hair so the 46-year-old threw a backwards blue baseball cap on to keep the short pixie 'do out of her eyes as she stared with determination towards the finish line.
While she was void of her usual hair and curve highlighting attire, there was no mistaking the star for anyone else as, unlike the other runners, the actress had her name on her race bib rather than a number.
Helping Pamela finish her first every marathon was her brother Gerry Anderson, who made sure to support his sister every grueling step.
The star took to Twitter to thank her sibling when she finally competed the race: 'So proud of my brother Gerry. Thank G. For running next to me today- love you lots.'
The star was not just completing the race for fitness or for a challenge, but rather to raise finds for the J/P Haitian Relief Organization.
The mother of two - Dylan and Brandon Lee - asked fans via her social media to donate to the charity that was founded by actor Sean Penn to following the 2010 Haitian Earthquake.
The star also dedicated the race to late surfing legend Montgomery 'Buttons' Kaluhiokalani, who passed away on Saturday aged 54 following a long battle with cancer.
Pamela, who has spent a significant time in the surfer's native Hawaii, honored the legend - known for his innovative surf maneuvers that paved the way for modern styles - by writing 'R.I.P Buttons' on her arm in marker."
