"Bombshell tapes claim Marilyn Monroe visited Sinatra's retreat the night before she died
Marilyn Monroe flew to Frank Sinatra's retreat to spend the night just 24 hours before she died, according to new claims.
The actress is said to have spent the evening with mobster Sam Giancana after taking the singer's private jet to Cal-Neva Lodge in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
According to the account, she flew back again the next morning and was found dead in the early hours of the following day, August 5.
The new version of the star's final 48 hours came from posthumous tapes of her stylist George Masters, who died in 1998.
If true, it is a dramatic new twist in one of Hollywood's most enduring mysteries and is sure to fuel conspiracy theories that Monroe was actually murdered.
It was widely known that the actress visited the Lodge for the weekend of July 27 1962 but this is the first mention of another, final visit immediately before her death.
Masters' nephew Jeff Platts, a sales consultant from Southern California, revealed his uncle's recollections to AOL News.
He told Chris Epting: 'One of the stories he told me was very interesting. George picked Marilyn up at her house and they flew together on Frank Sinatra's private plane to Lake Tahoe.
'Marilyn spent the evening in the casino with Sam Giancana, the gangster. Early the next morning they flew back to LAX and George drove her home, dropping her off about 9 a.m. It was that night that Marilyn died.'
Masters, for a time the most successful hair and make-up stylist in Hollywood, had a client list including Elizabeth Taylor and Doris Day.
He worked with Monroe almost constantly in the last two years of her life but eventually died in 1998 aged 62 after his own struggle with drugs.
About a month before he died, he was recorded on tape in conversation with his nephew and recalled the last night he saw Monroe alive.
He said: 'The night before she died, the last time I saw her, was in Lake Tahoe at the Cal-Neva Lodge. She was there with Sam Giancana, who was the head of the Mafia.'
Mr Platts suggests the reason for the second trip, after the well-documented one just days earlier, might have been because Sinatra had not managed to convince her to keep quiet about her affairs with the Kennedys.
'George specifically told me that Marilyn spent the evening with Sam Giancana. The only other person he mentioned that was there was Buddy Greco. No Frank Sinatra, no Dean Martin. George also said that the person she was really in love with at that moment was Sam Giancana,' Mr Platts said.
According to this new account, Masters and Monroe flew to Lake Tahoe on Sinatra's jet on August 3 where the actress spent the evening with Giancana.
They flew back to Los Angeles early the next morning and Masters drove the star home to Brentwood. It was the last time he ever saw her.
Mr Platts insists Masters had not confused the trip with the earlier visit and was clear they were two separate occasions.
He also seems to confirm a popular conspiracy theory that Monroe was rushed to hospital alive on August 5 before the ambulance turned round and took her home again.
Masters said: 'Did you know she was pronounced dead, and then they brought her back to the house, and she was still alive, and they took her back to the hospital, and brought her back home, and then the coroners came over, and they found her dead in another bed -- somebody moved her.'
The stylist said Monroe was killed by an enema with Nembutal. When he was asked if this was for a high, he replied: 'No. It was because of the Kennedys. I really think the FBI did it.'
The account could only be confirmed now by Monroe's former press agent, Pat Newcomb, who is in her 80s and reluctant to speak out. Masters himself said: 'Talk to Pat - she knows everything.' "

"Richie Sambora Enters Rehab
Richie Sambora is entering rehab for the second time, Us Weekly has learned.
As first reported at Radar Online, the Bon Jovi guitarist, 51, is checking into an undisclosed facility to get treated for exhaustion and alcohol addiction.
The rocker and his band just wrapped up a hugely successful tour, with additional dates slated in the U.S. and Europe later this year. "Richie recently has been drinking too much, and wants to get his life together," a source told Radar.
Sambora spent a month at famed Utah rehab Cirque Lodge in 2007, shortly after his divorce from Heather Locklear and the cancer death of his father, Adam.
Sambora and ex-wife Locklear, who were married for 13 years, share a daughter, Ava, 12.
A rep for Sambora had no comment."
Exhaustion? OMG, gimme a break!

"From In Touch via Celebitchy:
Three years after the meltdown that landed her in a mental health facility, Britney lives like a prisoner in her own home, with virtually every aspect of her life under the control of her father/conservator, Jamie Spears.
“She isn’t allowed to have a cell phone, and she’s not allowed to take incoming calls to her home unless security screens them first,” reveals an insider. “If she wants to make outgoing calls, security has to dial the numbers for her. She still has an allowance, and if she wants extra cash, she must submit a formal request…
Allowed contact with few people other than Jamie, her sons Jayden, 4, and Sean, 5, and her boyfriend, talent agent Jason Trawick – with whom she frequently fights – the onetime party girl is “incredibly lonely,” says the insider.
She has no privacy and yet at the same time, she has no time to herself. “Most people don’t know this, but Britney has a sober companion who is with her constantly, whenever Jason isn’t,” shares another close source. “The companion follows her everywhere she goes – even to the bathroom in restaurants or other public places – to ensure there’s no way anyone can slip her drugs.”
Perfect MK-ed slave to say so. Sounds familiar?

What's going on with this man? He stays more in rehab than at work. The social experiment called Ted Williams? Big time brainwashing?
"'Golden Voice' Ted Williams - Headed Back to Rehab
Ted Williams -- the homeless man with the "Golden Voice" -- is heading back to rehab today ... Ted's manager tells TMZ. We're told ... later today, Ted will return to the Origins Recovery Center in South Texas -- the same place he bailed on back in January.
Ted's manager says Mr. Golden Voice plans on attending a 90-day program to "get his strength back" and to get a "solid foundation in a 12-step program."
We're told Ted's book deal and reality show have been put on hold until he completes the program."

Another rotten story. How the hell to die like that?
"Road Trip's" Mia Amber Davis Dies at 36

Davis's husband, Michael Yard, told TMZ that the actress underwent routine knee surgery on Monday. Yard spoke with David Tuesday morning and said she sounded normal and in good spirits.
Yard was in New York on Tuesday when he got another phone call informing him that his wife had passed away.
He told the site he immediately hopped on a plane to L.A. and added: "I want to know what happened to my wife."

"IS BOBBI KRISTINA FOLLOWING IN HER MOTHER WHITNEY HOUSTON’S UNSTEADY FOOTSTEPS?
Whitney Houston has fallen so far off the wagon (we hear it’s crack again- and booze) that Prince didn’t want her onstage with him. Houston seemed so intoxicated with her daughter at a recent performance that she was banned from future Prince shows. Apparently her “out-patient” rehab isn’t doing much good. The most alarming factor about this relapse is the sight of her daughter Bobbi Kristina, 18, looking and acting every bit as high as her mother. They were body slamming each other, singing drunkenly in each other’s arms, and doing things mothers and daughters don’t generally do. Has Bobbi become Whitney’s new “drug buddy?”

"Britney Spears Could Be Forced Into Psychiatric Examination in Sam Lutfi Lawsuit (Exclusive)
Ever since Britney Spears shaved her head, got arrested for reckless driving and seemingly lost control of her career, the pop singer's mental state has been questioned by observers. Her career is now on the upswing once again, with a hit album and a coming tour, but the issue of her mental competence is still pertinent.
Spears' ex-manager, Sam Lutfi, is pursuing legal claims against the singer's mother, Lynne Spears, and wants Britney to give a deposition. Britney's parents, though, are resisting, saying that Britney is mentally incapable of testifying. In a motion filed on Monday at Los Angeles Superior Court, Lutfi asked a judge to order a psychiatric evaluation of the singer to prove that's not true.
Despite Spears' comeback, she's still under the conservatorship of her father, James Parnell Spears, and family lawyer, Andrew Wallet. Both are hesitant to let the singer get too close with Lutfi, who was fired in 2008.
As detailed in Lynne Spears' memoir, Through the Storm, Lutfi was allegedly a master manipulator who secretly drugged Britney, cut off her communications and mobility, and set himself up as the celebrity's "gatekeeper" before he was fired.
Lutfi says those things aren't true. He claims that Britney's life was already a mess before he got involved. He's suing for defamation, and last November, an appeals court refused to toss the lawsuit. So the battle rages on.
The ex-manager now wants Britney to give her side of the story, but her conservators don't want that.
In turn, Lutfi points to a recent MTV documentary about the singer, a coming world tour, and an interview conducted with Britney by Ryan Seacrest in March as circumstantial evidence that the singer has got her wits about her again.
Although Britney hasn't yet submitted to a psychiatric evaluation, Lutfi took the evidence to his own expert, UCLA Assistant Professor of Psychiatry Joshua Pretsky, for analysis. According to Pretsky's declaration to the court:
"In the Ryan Seacrest interview, which was recorded approximately two months ago, Britney Spears is interviewed at length, and she responds logically and coherently to questions, evidencing logical thinking and mental competency. The edited interviews in the [MTV] video documentary also evidence coherent and logical thinking, responsiveness to questions, and mental competence ... In my opinion, there is good cause to conduct an Independent Medical Examination to investigate the Conservators' claim that Ms. Spears is not mentally capable of testifying, and the claim that she was not mentally competent to enter into a binding contract. ..."
Of course, there may be more on the line than just whether Britney is testifying in Lutfi's lawsuit or not. If she's declared mentally fit, it could go some ways to unwinding the conservatorship over the 29-year-old singer."

Again heart attack at such a young age?
"Former NBA player Robert Traylor is found dead in his apartment aged 34
Former NBA player Robert Traylor, who played seven seasons in the league and earned the nickname 'Tractor' due to his size, has been found dead in his apartment in Isla Verde, Puerto Rico.
According to local police the 34-year-old, whose body was found yesterday afternoon, died of a heart attack.
Most recently he had been playing for the Puerto Rican team the Bayamon Cowboys, and had last been seen on court on April 26.
One of Traylor's teammates, Orlando 'Guayacan' Santiago, told the Huffington Post that the player had recently complained of breathing difficulties.
Manager, Jose Carlos Perez added that Traylor - who was 6ft 8in tall and weighed around 300lbs for most of his professional career - had been out of the team due to injury.
'He was a leader of the team,' Perez said. 'He was very, very friendly. He got along very well with everyone. The fans loved him, idolised him.'
Perez told local press that Traylor had been on the phone to his wife in Chicago when the connection was suddenly cut off. She called team officials who then checked on him.
Traylor began his basketball career playing for the University of Michigan in 1995, where he famously shattered a back board with the force of one of his slam dunk shots during a game against fellow university side Ball State.
He led the team to the National Invitation Tournament title in 1997 and was named the tournament's most valuable player.
The Dallas Mavericks selected Traylor in the 1998 NBA Draft and traded him to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for players Dirk Nowitzki and Pat Garrity.
He also played for the Cleveland Cavaliers and New Orleans Hornets, and had been playing for a team in Veracruz, Mexico, before moving to the Puerto Rican squad in March.
Traylor, who had two sons, underwent surgery for an enlarged aorta in 2006 but since then continued his career, and had played in teams in Italy and Turkey,
Away from the basketball court, Traylor was one of the players who was implicated in a scandal involving the basketball booster Ed Martin.
Martin pleaded guilty to money laundering in 2002 and told the authorities that he had lent a combined $616,000 to Traylor and other former Michigan players Chris Webber, Maurice Taylor and Louis Bullock.
Traylor eventually received three years probation."
