"Boney M frontman Farrell dies in Russia: agent
MOSCOW (Reuters) - Boney M frontman Bobby Farrell was found dead in his hotel room in St. Petersburg on Thursday, the day after a performance in the city where the band rose to stardom in the Soviet era, his agent said on Thursday.
"He did a show last night as part of Bobby Farrell's Boney M and they found him this morning dead in his hotel room," agent John Seine told Reuters by telephone from the Netherlands. Farrell was 61.
"He did not feel well last night, and was having problems with his breathing, but he did the show anyway," he added.
The cause of his death was not immediately clear, said Sergei Kapitanov, representative of St. Petersburg's branch of Russia's investigative committee.
Farrell was famous for dancing and lip synching for the disco band that rose to prominence in Europe, the United States and the Soviet Union with songs like "Ma Baker," "Rivers of Babylon" and "Rasputin."
Boney M was put together by German singer-songwriter Frank Farian who also produced most of the vocals for the group, which stormed to the top of the charts in the late 1970s with a string of disco hits."

You know, so many films that women seem to win Oscars for are basically some form of torture porn....both the winners and the nominees....Monster's Ball with Halle Falle Berry, Million Dollar Baby with Hillary Swank, Monster with Charlize Theron, Gaborey Sidibe's nomination for Precious.....all unwatchable films if you have a working stomach and soul (IMO. I've never been able to watch any of them. Probably because they are so close to the real torture some of these mind controlled women go through.) That reminds me of the MK torture filom of Christian Bale in The Machinist. Now that was an eerie film that wasn't pleasant to watch on any level! What did that do for Christian Bale? It was a sicko film and that's about it, IMO. Actually that film is about an MPD guy! |

I always have a red flag when I read or hear about someone who "dies" or is "found dead" in a hotel room. It strikes me that someone either put too many drugs in their system or something to cause them to "die".
Sounds fishy to me.

I know someone who knows Portmans' family and and she swears up and down that it's true love, yada yada, bullsh*t bullsh*t only she's too naive to see through this crap. That Frenchman model boyfriend you KNOW has a bunch of chicks on the side.  Such games they play. All so Natalie can seem all innocent as she heads into Oscar season and the older, conservative Academy members don't get too annoyed about her illegitimate child since she has cultivated such a squeaky clean image. |

"Aron Abrams, Producer, Comedy Writer, Dies Suddenly at 50
Aron Abrams, 50, a television producer and writer, who co-produced hit sit-come “3rd Rock From the Sun” has been found dead in his hotel room at a posh Hawaii resort.
Abrams, who also wrote for the sitcom “Everybody Hates Chris,” featuring comedian Chris Rock, was discovered at the Fairmont Orchid Hawaii hotel on the Kohala Coast of Big Island on Christmas Day.
Police said they received an emergency call around 7.45 am. At the moment, no foul play is suspected, pending an autopsy.
The writer was vacationing with his wife, Lynn Lempert, a paediatric dentist, in Los Angeles.
Friends say Abrams died of a heart attack, according to Deadline.com.
Authorities are holding off on any formal announcement.
“We’re going to wait for the autopsy results before we draw any conclusions,” Police Lieutenant Gerald Wike of the Kona Criminal Investigation Section told reporters.
Abrams was also a supervising producer of “Grounded for Life” and co-produced of animated comedy “King of the Hill.”
Abrams had recently signed a deal with CBS to write a half-hour comedy “Raising Men,” based on an Esquire article, and was a consulting producer on Fox animated sitcom “Bob’s Burgers,” premiering in January, according to Variety.
Raised in Emerson, N.J.. he attended Oberlin and Connecticut College. Survivors include his wife, two daughters and niece Rachel Abrams, a Variety reporter."

David Arquette checked himself into rehab during the holiday weekend … TMZ has learned.
According to TMZ, David is seeking treatment for alcohol and other issues — but not drugs. Arquette partied at Beacher’s Madhouse at the Roosevelt Hotel on New Year’s Eve before checking into a live-in facility."
A source close to David says he is doing it because it’s “the right thing to do for his family.”
Through her rep, Courteney Cox tells TMZ, “I really admire David and his choice to take charge and better his life. I love and support him.”
