So Boy George has nothing to do with.... himself 'I was so insane': Boy George says he bears 'no resemblance' to outlandish figure that burst onto the music scene in the 80s as he kicks off Australian tour He shot to fame as an outlandish trailblazer of the New Romantics movement and later gained notoriety as a heroin addict and convict. But Boy George has insisted that he hardly recognises the 21-year-old that burst onto the scene in 1982 after performing 'Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?' on Top of the Pops. The 54-year-old Culture Club frontman even said that when he looks back at interviews from that time he thinks he sounds 'insane'. 'You can only be who you are now,' he told news.com.au, following the first leg of his Australian tour in Adelaide on Monday night. www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3630537/Boy-George-says-bears-no-resemblance-younger-self.html

She was kept in a cage because she didnt feel pain? Sounds like MK ULTRA torture to me, 100%: "Being born with teeth wasn’t the only problem little Kate had to deal with. She says she was born without any sense of pain, the technical term for which I just learned is congenital analgesia. That sounds like a fancy butt-numbing cream, but it’s actually a major problem when you’re trying to teach a curious kid not to touch the stove or reach for a knife blade-first. To prevent any unfortunate situations, Kate’s parents’ solution was to build her a little cage. Kate claims she was in the cage until she was four years old, which is when she finally developed a sense of pain. She doesn’t say how that happened, but I’m guessing it probably had something to do with getting a charlie horse from being stuck in a damn cage all day." www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/kate-mulgrew-was-born-with-teeth-kept-in-a-cage-w209601

The Blade Runner humiliated: Oscar Pistorius sobs as he walks through court on his deformed legs to recreate night he killed Reeva Steenkamp in final plea for leniency Oscar Pistorius teetered pathetically on his stumps in a packed court room today in a desperate last bid to convince the judge he was too vulnerable to have killed his girlfriend intentionally. The athlete, known as the Blade Runner, looked humiliated when he was asked to remove his prosthetic limbs to expose his stumps to the televised hearing which will decide his murder sentence. There was an awkward moment when Barry Steenkamp was forced to stand to make way for his daughter's killer as he left the dock for the dramatic demonstration. His T-shirt wet with sweat and his red eyes filled with tears, Pistorius paused at the side of the court to remove his prosthetic limbs in the full view of the packed court. The spectacle of the one-time sporting superstar tottering across the court room prompted a number of family members, fans and members of the public to break down in tears. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3642439/Reeva-Steenkamp-s-cousin-says-saw-father-cry-time-learned-model-s-death-gives-evidence-Oscar-Pistorius-sentencing.html

Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant admits he can't read music or 'remember the 60s' as the jury retires in Stairway to Heaven plagiarism case which could rewrite rock history A US jury retired Wednesday to determine whether or not Led Zeppelin poached the iconic opening guitar riff in Stairway To Heaven from an obscure Los Angeles rock band. Zeppelin songwriting duo Robert Plant and Jimmy Page have denied plagiarizing the introduction to the 1971 song from Taurus, an instrumental track by the long-defunct 1960s group Spirit. The case was brought in federal court in Los Angeles by Michael Skidmore, the trustee and friend of Spirit guitarist Randy California, who drowned in 1997 having never taken legal action over the song. Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant has testified that a serious car crash left him with no memory of watching Spirit perform. Plant, 67, said he could not remember watching Spirit at Birmingham's Mothers club in 1970 after he was involved in a serious car crash with his wife that night. 'I can't recall Spirit or anybody else playing there with the passing of time,' he said. 'I don't have a recollection of mostly anyone I've met,' Plant added, prompting laughter in the courtroom. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3642356/Led-Zeppelin-leaders-face-questions-Stairway-origins.htmlS
