Cory Monteith has checked himself into rehab for substance addiction, his rep confirms to JustJared.com.
The 30-year-old Glee actor “has voluntarily admitted himself to a treatment facility for substance addiction,” his rep said in a statement. “He graciously asks for your respect and privacy as he takes the necessary steps towards recovery.”
Cory previously opened up about his addiction issues when he was nineteen.
“I don’t want kids to think it’s okay to drop out of school and get high, and they’ll be famous actors, too,” Cory said about his previous issues in an earlier interview with People. “But for those people who might give up: Get real about what you want and go after it.”

"TV doctor kills self after French "Survivor" death
Doctor for French TV reality show "Survivor" kills himself after contestant he saw dies
PARIS (AP) -- A doctor overseeing the French version of the "Survivor" reality show has committed suicide following the sudden death of a contestant who he had treated, France's biggest TV station says.
Dr. Thierry Costa killed himself on location Monday on an island in Cambodia, the TF1 station said. Costa, 38, blamed the press for damaging his professional reputation in a handwritten suicide note that TF1 published on its website.
It was the second death in as many weeks to hit the prime-time "Koh-Lanta" show that it broadcasts.
The first tragedy was a 25-year-old contestant, Gerald Babin, who died March 22 during the first day of filming for the show's 2013 season. Babin went to Costa to get treated for mysterious cramps he had during the season's first tropical challenge but died in a hospital soon after following a heart attack, according to TF1.
The network has not released any details about what the contestants were doing before Babin died but French media said he was engaged in a tug-of-war.
An inquiry into "involuntary homicide" was launched by the Creteil prosecutor's office into Babin's death and TF1 immediately cancelled the show's season.
But controversy over the death grew. Anonymous comments appeared in French media accusing Costa and Adventure Line Productions of negligence that contributed to Babin's death — charges that all parties vehemently denied.
Costa's suicide note addressed these allegations.
"These last few days my name has been smeared in the media. Unjust accusations and assumptions were uttered against me," he wrote on notepaper from the hotel where the "Koh-Lanta" team was staying. "Having to rebuild this destroyed reputation seems unbearable to me, so this is my only possible choice."
TF1 said it "shares the pain" of Costa's family.
Adventure Line Productions issued a statement expressing its "consternation" over the suicide.
"This tragic event must push those who irresponsibly accused and commented to come out and take responsibility," the company said in a statement.
In his suicide note, Costa's last wish was to be cremated in Cambodia so that his body never has to return to France.
In 2009, a contestant of the Bulgarian version of "Survivor" died of a heart attack while filming on an island beach in the Philippines."

"Matthew Warren, Son Of Rick Warren, Commits Suicide
In an emotional letter to his church members, megachurch pastor Rick Warren of Lake Forest, Calif.-based Saddleback Church told them that his youngest son had committed suicide.
“At 27 years of age, Matthew was an incredibly kind, gentle and compassionate young man whose sweet spirit was encouragement and comfort to many,†Warren, the popular author of The Purpose Driven Life, said in the letter. “Unfortunately, he also suffered from mental illness resulting in deep depression and suicidal thoughts.â€
Matthew, the youngest of three children of Rick Warren and his wife Kay, killed himself Friday, the evangelical pastor said in the letter which described his son "an incredibly kind, gentle and compassionate young man whose sweet spirit was encouragement and comfort to many."
“No words can express the anguished grief we feel right now,†Warren wrote. “He had a brilliant intellect and a gift for sensing who was most in pain or most uncomfortable in a room. He’d then make a bee-line to that person to engage and encourage them."
“In spite of America’s best doctors, meds, counselors, and prayers for healing, the torture of mental illness never subsided,†Warren said. “Today, after a fun evening together with Kay and me, in a momentary wave of despair at his home, he took his life.â€
He continued: "Kay and I often marveled at his courage to keep moving in spite of relentless pain. I'll never forget how, many years ago, after another approach had failed to give relief, Matthew said, 'Dad, I know I'm going to heaven. Why can't I just die and end this pain?' but he kept going for another decade."
Warren thanked church members and supporters for their "love and prayers," telling them "we love you back."

Rick Warren is called "America's Pastor", has written books, and belongs to the CFR, Council on Foreign Relations...in other words, he's not a genuine man of the cloth, but a member of the Illuminati.
I find it truly sad when I read or hear of anyone who commits suicide, and it's not a good statement to the faith....
As to whether this was a true suicide or if it was staged to appear that way, it wouldn't surprise me. As any of these things we're told, I take it with a grain of salt. It could be a reminder to RICK that he's part of something bigger than himself...it's called the SYSTEM....and if they want to sacrifice a family member to gain something more....they'll do it....that's a sad tale of many famous people....

Warren is just another piece of s.h.i.t. who willingly sacrificed his gay son, just like the equally creepy Marie Osmond did a couple of years ago. Exactly the same scenario....

"McCartney guitarist Hugh McCracken has died
Hugh McCracken, who played the guitar solo on “Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey” on Paul McCartney's “Ram,” and also played McCartney's “Red Rose Speedway,” John Lennon's “Double Fantasy” and many other albums, died Thursday, reports Noise11.com. McCracken had been battling leukemia.
Though he was known for his work with Paul McCartney, he also played on John Lennon and Yoko Ono's “Wedding Album,” “Double Fantasy” and "Milk and Honey” albums, Yoko Ono's “It's Alright (I See Rainbows),” “Season of Glass,” “A Story” and on “Walking on Thin Ice.”
He was a popular session guitarist, appearing on albums by Steely Dan, Billy Joel, Roland Kirk, Roberta Flack, B. B. King, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Paul Simon, Art Garfunkel, Gary Wright, James Taylor, Phoebe Snow, Bob Dylan, The Monkees, Carl Perkins, Gordon Lightfoot, Graham Parker, Yoko Ono, Barbra Streisand, the Left Banke, the Kingsmen, Eric Carmen and Aretha Franklin, to name a few.
Dixon Van Winkle, who helped arrange the sessions for "Ram," remembered McCracken in an interview found on the Beatles No. 9 site. “Everybody wanted Hugh on their sessions. He wasn't the best reader in town, but the parts he came up with were fantastic. I've heard lots of great guitar players over the years, and I'd say Hugh was in the top five.”
McCracken also talked about working on "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey" with McCartney. “This song represented a breakthrough in our musical relationship," he said. "Paul is a genius. He sees and hears everything he wants, and would give specific instructions to me and the drummer. But he didn't know what he wanted the guitar part to be like on this song. I asked him to trust me and he did. After I came up with the parts, he was very pleased. For the rest of the record, Paul let me try things out before making any suggestions.”
Early on, McCracken also apparently attempted a solo career. In 1966, he released a record called "You Blow My Mind." (See the video spot at left.)
Denny Seiwell, who played with him on “Ram,” wrote on his Facebook page, “Hugh was one of a kind, a very gentle man with a heart as big as his talent. I'll miss his pauses on our phone conversations. Hell, I'll miss everything about him. One of my fondest memories was recently sitting in the apartment with Hugh while he picked up his acoustic and played along to 'Uncle Albert.' Only 40 years ago but remembered the part.”
Jack Douglas, producer of “Double Fantasy,” said on Facebook, “Hugh McCracken gone. I have no words to express the loss.”
Carole King posted a note on her Facebook page, “So sad to lose Hugh McCracken. Deepest condolences to friends and family of this great New York cat.”

"Celebrated Producer Andy Johns Dead at 61
Andy Johns, the veteran producer and engineer who worked on classic albums by Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Van Halen and many others, has died at the age of 61. The news was confirmed to Billboard.biz by guitarist Stacy Blades, who was working on an untitled project with Johns until the producer was hospitalized last week.
No cause of death was immediately available for the British-born Johns, the younger brother and uncle, respectively, of fellow producer/engineers Glyn Johns and Ethan Johns. However, Blades said liver trouble was one reason why Johns had been hospitalized.
Twitter quickly filled up with tributes: Red Hot Chili Peppers and Chickenfoot drummer Chad Smith wrote that Johns "made some of my favorite all time records," while former Deep Purple and Black Sabbath member Glenn Hughes tweeted "Larger than life-You are loved Andy." Former Go-Gos member Kathy Valentine's advice was to "Crank up #ExileOnMainStreet and help send his soul off to the big mixing board in the sky."
Born in Surrey and a student at the King's School in Gloucester, Johns put aside an early ambition "to be the next greatest bass player of all time" to follow his brother into the studio world. "It looked a lot better than working," Johns told Universal Audio. He began his career as a tape operator at London's famed Olympic Studios, helping Eddie Kramer on sessions for the Jimi Hendrix Experience's "Axis Bold as Love."
"In those days you could go into one studio and Joe Cocker was working, and then you're working with Jimi Hendrix in Studio One, or down the corridor Eric Clapton is doing something," Johns recalled. "It was a serious center. A lot of talent was there." Johns produced early albums by Blodwyn Pig ("Ahead Rings Out"), Humble Pie ("As Safe As Yesterday Is," "Town and Country") and Free ("Free," "Free Live!," "Heartbreaker"), as well as Television's landmark "Marquee Moon" in 1977.
Johns' engineering resume, meanwhile, was dotted with landmark sets by the Stones -- including "Sticky Fingers," "Exile On Main Street," "Goats Head Soup" and "It's Only Rock 'n' Roll" -- Led Zeppelin’s “II" through "Physical Graffiti" as well as albums by Mott the Hoople, Jethro Tull and many more. Johns relocated to Los Angeles during the 1970s, where he worked with Van Halen, Joni Michell, Ozzy Osbourne, Cinderella and Eddie Money. Over the past dozen years he worked on albums by Hughes, Godsmack, Taylor Hawkins & the Coattail Riders and others.
Johns once told music tech blogger Bobby Owsinski that the key to his approach was taking a total overview to the sound of a piece. "I don't build mixes...I start with everything," Johns explained. "Most of the people that listen to and tweak one instrument at a time get crap. You've just got to go through it with the whole thing up because every sound affects every other sound."
Johns also told Universal Audio that to him "fidelity is obviously of prime importance. My idea is to make it sound as if you are in the best rehearsal that the band ever did, and you are about 12 feet back from the stage, in a nice rehearsal place...You're supposed to be there and feel them playing."
Joe Satriani recalled that Johns' philosophy was key to Chickenfoot's 2009 debut album. "He was great at capturing very evocative performances," Satriani said. "He was great at capturing the chemistry between rhythm sections, and he knew exactly how to layer rhythm guitars. He knew when you just needed one or if you need 15. I was all about the composition and the band. Andy always knew when there was something good to record, and when he didn't like something he would tell you that you were full of sh-- and leave the room -- which was good, too, because sometimes you need somebody to set you straight."
Steve Miller said Johns inspired his last two Steve Miller Band albums, 2010's "Bingo!" and 2011's "Let Your Hair Down," which were recorded at George Lucas' Skywalker Studios. "Andy and I were working on a live concert DVD that he was mixing (2007's 'Live From Chicago')," Miller remembers, "and he said, 'Boy, I would really love to do a guitar album with you.’ The next thing you know, we go into Skywalker and cut 42 tracks. And doing guitar overdubs with Andy is so much fun, you never want it to end. It was like back in the early days when we were making records in England. He's the monster man for all the Led Zeppelin records and the Stones and stuff. He's just a great engineer and a really good co-producer to work with."
Johns' sons also went into music: singer-songwriter Will Johns has released a pair of albums, including 2012's "Hooks and Lines;" while Evan Johns played drums in the band Hurt.
Funeral arrangements for Johns were pending at press time."
