Dana Carvey seems to have been replaced with an imposter.

Dana was disliked by George Bush Senior for his damaging (though actually rather weak and watered-down) satirical impersonation of him on Saturday Night Live 1990-92.
A few years after Bush Senior lost the 1992 election to Clinton, Dana had a heart operation in which the doctors operated on the wrong artery.

By the way, as I predicted, "Dana Carvey" has once again completely disapeared from the media/public after that one token HBO special. Fana Farvey seems to have a once-a-year job at most.

I admit, when I first saw this pic I though that Dana had been replaced too:



It' s just ridiculous to make him look like he's in his early 20's!

But after investigating it some more I don't think he was replaced, even if the motive is good...

At least Dana is still funny, even though I think he was more funny in the 90's. Compare this to another comedian that I do think was replaced, Eddie Murphy who has completly lost "it".

Maybe a stupid thing, but I think the most significant with Dana's face is his smile, it's a bit squinted. And he still has that...

I watched his recent "squatting monkeys" act on HBO the other day. I
thought his behavior seemed quite different than earlier performances
I've seen.

His earlier stuff seemed like it had more ad libs and off-the-cuff humor
and seemed more natural.

But, this seemed completely canned from beginning to end. Every
word memorized and not a single mistake or hesitation. I was a
bit creeped out by it.

Sorry, I got the year of his surgery wrong:

Underwent open-heart surgery for a blocked artery in 1997 but had the wrong artery operated on. Later sued for medical malpractice and was awarded 7.5 million dollars. He's had to undergo five operations in total to correct his heart problem.

I still don't think he was replaced though, even if I can agree with Beatlies and Sherlok on some things.

I just think that he was at his best in the 90's and that his not on top anymore...

Also, he's getting older and I think he had some bad plastic surgery (around his eyes) + botox and a bad haircut - that could also make the illusion of a different skull etc.
