It seems like when they come out with these new clones and they are black (or of any non-white nationality), the skin seems to always be lighter. Must be intentional, me thinks. Examples:

Skin color is such a varying factor. Things such as lighting, time of year (i.e. sun exposure/skin exposure), diet, tanning, etc could account for the differences in skin color but pictures like this :


and this

point to something weird. What I used to think was just black celebs, insecure in their looks getting plastic surgery and skin lightening treatments to adopt a more european look to have a marketable 'look'--it seems that replacement is a far more feasible explanation than skin lightening treatments.

Anyway, this is her as spotted 3 days ago in the UK. Not the same as the person in the vid, what do u say? Besides, in the 3rd pic from ur post she looks completely like a mask. Kinda like the leading guys from WHITE CHICKS...

Thanks for the pics. Yes, "black" celebrities almost always seem to get lighter skin as their careers progress and you're right, it's not just due to skin lightening or surgery. You can slim down a nose and lighten skin but you can't change an entire head shape, chin shape, essence in the eyes, etc. as we see with the pics you have posted. Rihanna is another one who to me always seems to "shapeshift" -- rather like Christina Aguilera - in that I've never had a strong sense of what she actually looks like because my subconscious is registering that they are different people being switched out for different situations. Rihanna definitely looks different over time, for sure.

PS: Artemis, we posted at the same time! You are right about that third picture showing a Beyonce who literally seems to have her entire FACE glued on - like with the advanced prosthetics in movies like White Chicks. That is one BIZARRE picture.
