I absolutely agree that there were at least 2 LHO's. But I would like to add that a woman who claimed to have a relationship w/ the LHO that was arrested told her that he had infiltrated the group of assassins to try to stop it. I think this was on a BBC special - "The Men Who Killed Kennedy," maybe. Anyway, even if this isn't true, LHO was assassinated a day after he was arrested. That's just a little suspicious to me! To my mind, it's far from settled that any LHO assassinated JFK. He never had his day in court, so the most that could fairly be said is that he "allegedly" assassinated JFK.

We Endorse JOHN McCAIN for president!
Current mood: anxious

I know this isn't going to be cool.... and it does not necessarily represent the opinions of the bands on the label..... and I do normally try to keep politics out of the label business, but this election is too important to sit on the sidelines.

I know many of you think anything "establishment" is bad... and you've got disgust for anything GW Bush and (the party that birthed him) the Republicans (and I would agree with you on many points I'm sure)... but that is not reason enough to vote for the opposition. We all like to talk about Freedom and Liberty and Equality and Justice... but none of these are Advanced by Barrack Obama in more than words, platitudes and wrong headed approaches (as well meaning as they might be). I know many of you will automatically cry Racist as has been the instant cry across the media with regards to anyone who makes an honest decision not to back Obama, but I would love nothing more than to have a Black president (or a woman president), the culmination of Martin Luther Kings Dream and the framework of those inspired words in the Declaration of Independence that all men are created equal, these for so long haven't always been fully realized... We long for a time when one isn't judged on the color of their skin, but by the content of their Character... However, the Man of Character we're needing now is not Senator Obama, but John McCain!

And in spite of all the criticisms and complaints I've had about McCain in the past (and I've had many) i see only one Choice this election (it's either going to be Obama or McCain)...

If you believe like we believe that Government should be small, efficient, out of our lives as much as possible... equipped for the main goal of keeping us safe from threats foreign and domestic and not Parenting us, making us SLAVES to Government, then John S. McCain is the man you want in the White House. If you believe in your rights to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, then John S. McCain is the man you want in the White House. If you believe in your RIGHT to own a gun and to protect yourself from those who would seek to take or endanger your life (people or governments) and liberty, then John S. McCain is the man you want in the White House. If you believe in the inherent value of innocent Human life, then John S. McCain is the man you want in the White House. If you believe in LOW taxes (or like us a Flat tax), and that paying taxes is not PATRIOTIC, but a theft in the truest sense of the word, then John S. McCain is the man you want in the White House. If you believe in AMERICA as we do, as the Last Best Hope for the world, then John S. McCain is the man you want in the White House. If you believe that Government isn't our parent, and only keeps peoples down by keeping them in the cycle of entitlements (and I'm not talking about taking care of children and those truly unable to sustain themselves), then John S. McCain is the man you want in the White House. If you believe in choice in schools, in medical care, in the ability to fully express your opinions [political or otherwise] and beliefs, then John S. McCain is the man you want in the White House. If you believe that America is and can be that City on a Hill than Vote with us for John McCain.

We want Government off our back, out of our Pocket, out of our Personal Lives... We want government that enables us to live free from danger to our persons from conception until natural death. We want the Government to stop their social engineering and encroaching into our lives and rights. We want the Courts out of the business of Legislating from the bench and to once again strictly interpret the Constitution as it was intended, not how we currently wish it to be with the tides of culture and opinion....

Many see America as the culmination of the wrongs it's committed, and I agree with you that we've done many things wrong, but we've done way more right. Electing a man on this mystical undefined concept of Change is absolutely not what we need. Obama has no record of bipartisanship, of unity, of compromise and most importantly of Good Choices both in political decisions and in personal relational choices (you can argue his being against the war all you want... we disagree, but even that choice cost him nothing, in state senate, it wasn't a stand it was an opinion, one he's ridden on all the way until today).... He has words, just words. Obama has no Experience that would lend credence to the idea that he is ready for this position. The little we know of Obama (and I really mean little) is of a well spoken, articulate, likable MAN (not black man, but huMAN) who has an uncanny ability to speak to the masses in such a way that regardless of what he says it appears to be the truth. Obama is a man who is the least known, least tested and most secretive of candidates to ever run for the office of president. And this isn't conspiracy theory, this is fact. Obama is a man who is anything but right for our Country, in that he seeks to turn America into something it is not, a place where government is GOD where it's citizens live off it's tit, are enslaved by its social nets, ensnared by its entitlements, lacking any motive to better themselves, to be their own men and women, to make their own choices, to be FREE. The America Obama is after is one which doesn't widen the middle class and make its citizenry more equal, but consolidates it's masters and creates more slaves... Obama wants to punish success and level the playing field by not seeking the best for the country and to help everyone succeed and increasing the pie for all, but to bring everyone down so that no one succeeds. We all get a trophy, only its one none of us in retrospect will want.

I'm not rich, and I probably will never be rich... but I want the possibility, and the dream, the American Dream, that if I can dream it, I can accomplish it. I can go after it, and i may make it, i may fail, but either way, Government doesn't owe me anything, not success, not a living, not health care, nothing but protecting my life from danger and getting out of my way!

Do not let the unprecedented expenditure from the Obama campaign decide this election. Let your voices be heard and tell them in a Loud Voice... We will not be Bought!

i'm with you brother, not a huge Johnny Mac fan but i think Obama would be a train wreck in the office. he just doesn't have the substance or experience to lead. i have mixed emotions though for the next 4 to 8 years, i think they are going to be rough and ugly no matter who's at the helm. personally i'd rather see a Democrat take the blame, but i'm not sure the mass media would paint it that way so it's a tough call. it's hard to put the words "conservative" and "punk" in the same arena without being balked at or belittled, but a lot of what you're talking in your post is hard-line conservative. limited federal government, people being allowed to thrive and live up to their own potential, etc.

all in all it's going to be wild couple of years, no matter who gets the big boy seat it will be an intense, interesting time to be alive. hopefully we all come out of it with our rights and livelihoods intact.

I can truly appreciate your opinion but as a woman over 40 I am a little sketchy about a person who can't see that a woman has a right to decide for herself what she can and cannot do to her body I do appreciate the fact that John McCain is a war vet and suffered while captured while I admire this I can honestly say that he was not alone much like that war and like this one it is overdue in being over I do support our troops but not this war like the saying you can lead a horse to water but cannot make them drink this does describe the middle east sometimes people need to stand up for themselves and we cannot expect the people in the middle east to establish a government much like ours historically they are a warring country and you cannot change that in what almost 8 years which by the way was only planned to be for 1 year. I fear that our country has run astray under the Bush administration and as McCain has backed Bush in 90% of the prior issues I feel that the only change that we can make is in the opposite direction that we are in now and frankly I have no faith in Palin she has less exprience than Obama, I think that Obama will open doors that McCain will only keep shut and I don't really trust someone who won't give direct eye contact and during a speech only talks about what Obama says not what he himself plans to change, but alas this is a rather heated topic and at this point anything is better than Bush ..Jussome background on me my father was with special ops and intell. for over 40 years and is still working with the pentagon and he has really opened my eyes to some of the stuff that goes on in washington government is just big business and in the last 8 years it hasn't been about the people but either way it needs to be about the people because we are the ones paying the price look what it has done to us so far homeless, jobless,in debt no medical...

from a nonbiased source or bi-partisan panel at the least. Especially as this vice president had a higher than usual chance of becoming president due to McCain's age and past history. You want to make sure she wasn't likely to have a mental break down or die, too.

The fact that she stalled says a lot about her: she's arrogant like Bush and/or she's hiding something pertinent to the campaign. It says a lot about the media for not pushing it more, too.

Based on her research, Twyman said "when this technique was mastered by the intelligence community, they used it to create mind controlled sex slaves." She postulated that the motive behind such devious pursuits was twofold: the slaves were either for personal use by powerful individuals or, more often, used to blackmail powerful people who partook in their services.

She also recounted the testimony from her informants who claimed to have been abused during "black masses" that were held, in secret, at Christian churches. "They reversed the Catholic Mass and all the symbolism of the Mass is reversed to make it evil instead of good," she explained. One such ritual, that Twyman had been told about from a first hand experiencer, was the "Rite to Remain Silent." This horrific ceremony saw a lamb being sacrificed and the blood poured on the victim. Based on her sources, she said that "the purpose of the ritual was to traumatize her and to teach her to stay silent about all of the abuse she was enduring." Twyman said that such Satanic use of churches, while seemingly impossible to believe, "was really quite prevalent in people's stories."

Ronald Reagan's persona was crafted from 1937 to 1965, working in B films. The Shadow side of Reagan, however, reveals that he was a snitch for the FBI and ratted out his fellow members of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), during the days of the "Red Scare." He also was a notorious womanizer, according to Marc Eliot's expose: "Reagan: The Hollywood Years." It was Reagan, too, as U.S. President, who ruthlessly busted PATCO in 1981.

If you are a Hollywood film buff and a political junkie, too, as I am, you will just love Marc Eliot's latest book, "Reagan: The Hollywood Years." The author touches on Ronald Reagan's early days in Dixon, Illinois, but mainly focuses on his film career in which he was cast in one bad B movie after another. The main expose in this absorbing tome is that during the days of the "Red Scare," late 40s through the 50s, Reagan was a snitch for the FBI! The author writes that Reagan became a "secret informant, code name 'T-10,' for J. Edgar Hoover's red-baiting FBI." He regularly met with them in LaLaLand and "handed over names of Screen Actor Guild (SAG) members who 'might' be Communist sympathizers." Reagan would also contact his brother, Neil, "from a pay phone on Sunset Boulevard to pass along information" to the FBI. (2)

What brought Reagan, who served as President of SAG, (1947-52), and again in 1959, to do such a terrible thing? I think he was mostly a hollow type of man, vain, insecure and highly self- righteous. The record shows that to protect his rear end, he had become "a commie hunter;" he also carried a gun. The exact number of colleagues on whom Reagan ratted, will probably never be known. Once tagged as a Red "sympathizer," no matter how scanty the evidence, an individual was subjected to being "blacklisted" and barred from working in the Hollywood Industry. The fact that one's political beliefs were protected by the First Amendment didn't stop the witch hunts. Some victims of the blacklisting process were so scarred, that they committed suicide. Mr. Eliot mentions two: Philip Loeb and Barry Crum. (3)

Reagan arrived in Tinseltown in 1937. His prior drama experience came from stage work that he'd done back home in high school and at Eureka College. His also had a better than average speaking voice and projected a wholesome Midwestern look, just what Central Casting was seeking. Like today, however, you can't get the auditions, unless you have a good agent. Reagan was really lucky on that score. An acquaintance referred him to the William Meiklejohn's Agency, a well connected Hollywood player, that soon merged into the Lew Wasserman tent. A seven year contract with Warner Brothers quickly followed. Wasserman, a super agent, deserves the major credit for steering Reagan on his nearly 30 year, very lucrative career in Hollywood that lasted until 1965. It all led to the formation of his carefully crafted political persona that was to become his successful calling card.

That job Reagan did as a sportscaster of baseball games (1936-7) worked to his advantage, too. This was at a radio station in Des Moines, Iowa, where he broadcasted the games, giving a play-by-play account, via information coming over a wire. So, Reagan would be sitting in a studio describing a baseball game being played, say in Chicago. This called for him to make up or embellish things in order to enliven the broadcast. Reagan became an expert at "telling stories" and making things up. The telling story thing he got honestly from his father "Jack" Reagan--a shoe salesman. This skill would serve Reagan well, too, as U.S. President, (1981-89), in selling his disastrous "Voodoo Economics" to the people. (4)

Although the author does discuss in some detail Reagan's two marriages; first to Jane Wyman (1940-49), and then later to Nancy Davis (1952-2004), and also his relationship with his children, I'm going to mostly ignore that sensitive subject. I will only note that Ms. Wyman is one of my all time favorite actresses. Her role in the riveting film, "Johnny Belinda," is a classic for which she rightly deserved the "Best Actress" award in 1949. It was Ms. Wyman, who had first "urged" Reagan to run for the "Board of SAG," but she couldn't stand his right wing zealotry. His incessant "pontificating" about politics tended to "drive her crazy."

Hollywood, in Reagan's day, was then, as it is in 2008, the capital of the country as far as very attractive women are concerned. And, he wasn't shy about dating many leading ladies. In fact, Reagan's "love life was no secret...It was the talk of the town," writes Mr. Eliot. Some of the women worked with him at Warner Brothers. Later at the White House, at Cabinet meetings, Reagan would "gossip" in terms "quite graphically," about the many gals that he'd bedded over the years. It was "a very long list," according to the author, more than twenty, and it included some fabled female celebrities that would have made even Warren Beatty, a reported legendary womanizer, gasp in awe. (5) Mr. Eliot names Reagan's putative love interest.

The author also adds all kinds of juicy tidbits in his book to round out his characterization of Reagan. For example, Reagan was "jealous" of the actor Earl Flynn. Well, that one is easy to understand. Flynn was a dashing figure, a "top-of-the-line" star, compared to the boring, wooden Reagan. Also, Mr. Eliot reveals that Reagan loathed the Kennedy brothers, John and Robert, particularly Robert; and that he had a strong dislike for homosexuals; and enjoyed changing his shoes two or three times a day. Reagan also was quoted as saying that he didn't understand why actors "needed to have a union." This was another insight into his warped psyche. In August, 1981, then President Reagan ruthlessly fired the striking 11,345 air traffic controllers (PATC0)--busting the union. He did so even though PATCO, and the Teamsters, a national organization, had endorsed him for president over the Democrats' Jimmy Carter, in 1980. (6)

You might want to know where was the Uber-Patriot Reagan, during WWII? He was making "propaganda movies" in Hollywood, Culver City to be exact, for the government! His eyesight was supposedly "so poor he could be assigned only to limited duties in non combat situation." When I think about the real patriots that I knew when I was growing up in South Baltimore, who made genuine sacrifices in WWII, such as: Pete "Hooks" Williams, of the legendary "Darby's Rangers," who lost a leg at Normandy; "Rip" Burdinski, blinded; Charley Ellenberger, without both of his legs; and Harry C. Agro, who spent nearly three years subjected to vicious beatings every day in a horrific Japanese's POW camp, I want to scream out about the inequality of it all. (7) Reagan was oiling the propaganda machine, while my heroes were fighting the war. There is plenty more in Mr. Eliot's gem of a book, on a wide variety of interesting topics, too much for me to summarize here.

I think Reagan, as President of the U.S., pulled a con job on America! He served the Special Interests, not the people. Mr. Eliot's book opens up a window on the forces, during Reagan's Hollywood days, which helped to forge this B film actor's outlook on life. His harmful economic legacy is still with us today. (8)

1. Arthur Miller's finest play was the "Crucible," which debuted in 1953. It was about the Salem witch trials, but it also served as an attack on the evils of McCarthyism, then rampant in the U.S.

As Media Matters for America documented, the nationwide network of conservative radio hosts -- personalities without the national prominence of Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh -- engaged in an all-out effort to foment hate and suspicion of Barack Obama by participating actively in an echo chamber of smears and falsehoods about the primary candidate and then Democratic nominee. But these same radio hosts were by no means discerning in their vitriol and did not save their ire solely for Obama. The smears ran the gamut, both in the context of the 2008 election, as Media Matters noted in the previous report, and beyond. Immigrants, female politicians (and women in general), the LGBT community, the poor and homeless, minorities, progressives, unions, college students, and even autistic children were targets of these radio personalities' invective. Media Matters and Colorado Media Matters have compiled some of their more noteworthy attacks on these groups.

Immigrants

In discussing immigration reform or immigration in general, conservative talk-radio hosts have repeatedly smeared immigrants -- Latino immigrants in particular -- as violent, uncivilized, or having sinister motives against the United States. Media Matters has documented several instances of talk-radio hosts baselessly blaming undocumented immigrants for the mortgage crisis, citing bogus statistics -- refuted by the Department of Housing and Urban Development -- to claim that they held a significant percentage of subprime loans....

Sex and gender

As Media Matters noted, right-wing talk-radio hosts have also repeatedly made sexist comments about female politicians -- Republicans and Democrats alike -- often highlighting a woman's physical characteristics, in one instance referring to Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin's "smoking-hot" looks while calling Obama a "little bitch." Others referred to Sen. Hillary Clinton as a "bitch" and, in numerous instances, remarked on her voice, with one describing it as "screechy, fingernails-on-the-blackboard voice." Also, as Media Matters noted, hosts and guests have attacked progressive women as "ugly skanks" or "whores," impugned women's abilities as political leaders, and some have even questioned allowing women the right to vote....

Also an internal hierarchy with elected president, VP, officers etc. and internal secrets and documents (e.g. some known only to the president and VP, not the lower ranked members). Membership is only open to Harvard undergraduates and writing/art contributions are allowed only from members (elected by the staff) or honorary members. Just your average, all-american college humor magazine.

Also a conduit for the CIA.

Billy Kimball, another Harvard Lamthingy alum, is older than the above Simpsons staffers, they all graduated in the Harvard classes of 1987-89. He graduated in the early 1980s. From what I can tell he's acted as a sort of ringleader for this late 80s group, getting them started as a group on an early comedy network comedic game show called "The Clash." Kimball was a sucessful TV comedy writer himself, and collaborator with Al Franken. Franken is a Harvard grad, but did not win election to the Lamthingy while there(though he tried and got blackballed). Kimball also directed some operations of A.I.D., Agency for International Development in Ukraine in the 1990s, well known as a CIA front group.

Randi Rhodes, the brash, former show host on Franken's liberal Air America radio network, once complained on air of CIA infiltration of the AA network, repeating what Franken said in response to the question "wasn't Air America airlines (in the Vietnam War) CIA?" "So are we (also CIA)" ---Franken's "kidding on the square" as he calls it. Rhodes was fired from AA this year.
Kimball was a board executive of Franken's Air America and occasional on-air guest and guest host, until recently.

Kimball wrote and co-produced The Simpsons for the 2006-2007 season.

Confessions of a Dangerous Mind

In his "unauthorized autobiography" Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, originally published in 1984, [Chuck] Barris claimed to have worked for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) as an assassin in the 1960s and the 1970s. In interviews, when asked about whether he was really a CIA operative, he tends neither to confirm nor deny it. In 2002, a film adaptation of the book was made. Directed by George Clooney and starring Sam Rockwell, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind depicted Barris as being responsible for 33 killings. In 2004, Barris wrote a sequel to the book called Bad Grass Never Dies.[1] The CIA has denied claims that Barris ever worked for them, in any capacity. The agency remained silent for many years regarding Barris' claims to be a hit man, but after the release of the movie, CIA spokesman Paul Nowack said of Barris' assertions that he did wet work for the spy agency, "It's ridiculous. It's absolutely not true."[3]

Barris married Lyn Levy, niece of one of the founders of CBS, which caused her family to disinherit her.[citation needed] His 1974 novel, You and Me, Babe, is loosely based on this marriage. Julia Child's exploits working overseas for a forerunner of the Central Intelligence Agency grabbed headlines again today when the National Archives released a trove of previously classified documents. In fact, the Cambridge chef's tenure with the Office of Strategic Services was about as top secret as her recipe for Coq au Vin.

Child met her husband, Paul Child, working for the OSS in the 1940s. The Globe published a story in 1981 about how people met their spouses, and Child recalled meeting Paul in Ceylon, which is present day Sri Lanka. The article noted that Child had hoped to be a spy when she joined the agency during World War II but was relegated to clerical work.

Child's time at the agency was discussed in dozens of articles as she gained fame as a chef. Her time there was also documented in the 1998 book by Elizabeth McIntosh, "Sisterhood of Spies." There were prominent references to her service in the OSS in obituaries that ran of her in the Globe and the New York Times after her death in August 2004.

In December 2007, the CIA published an account on its website about Child and the OSS:

Julia Child is probably best known for bringing French cuisine into America’s mainstream. But, few know that she had a dynamic career as an intelligence officer before she became a cooking icon.

She was born in Pasadena, Calif., on Aug. 15, 1912. Arriving at Smith College in 1930, Julia was an active student throughout her college career. She was a member of the Student Council, played basketball, and worked for the Dramatics Association. Julia experienced her first culinary moments at Smith, as chairwoman of the Refreshment Committee for Senior Prom and Fall Dance. After graduating from Smith in 1934, Julia wrote advertising copy for W. & J. Sloane, a furniture store in New York City.

Soon after the United States entered World War II, Julia felt the need to serve her country. Too tall to join the military (she was 6’2”), Julia volunteered her services to the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), which was the forerunner of today’s Central Intelligence Agency. She was one of 4,500 women who served in the OSS.

She started out at OSS Headquarters in Washington, working directly for General William J. Donovan, the leader of OSS. Working as a research assistant in the Secret Intelligence division, Julia typed up thousands of names on little white note cards, a system that was needed to keep track of officers during the days before computers. Although her encounters with the General were minor, she recalled later in life that his “aura” always remained with her.

Julia then worked with the OSS Emergency Sea Rescue Equipment Section, where she helped develop shark repellent. The repellent was a critical tool during WWII, and was coated on explosives that were targeting German U-boats. Before the introduction of the shark repellent, curious sharks would sometimes set off the explosives when they bumped into them.

From 1944-1945, Julia was sent overseas and worked in Ceylon, present day Sri Lanka, and Kunming, China. During these last two years in the OSS, Julia served as Chief of the OSS Registry. Julia -- having top security clearances -- knew every incoming and outgoing message that passed throughout her office, as her Registry was serving all the intelligence branches. During her time in Ceylon, Julia handled highly classified papers that dealt with the invasion of the Malay Peninsula. Julia was fascinated with the work, even when there were moments of danger.

Not only did Julia contribute to the efforts of the OSS, but during her time of service, she met her husband. Paul Child was also an OSS officer. He was well traveled, and it was he who opened Julia’s eyes to appreciate fine French cuisine. The two married in September 1946.

Paul was assigned with the U.S. Information Agency [propaganda and media manipulation] in France in 1948, and this is where Julia’s studies of the culinary arts began, at one of France’s most prestigious cooking schools, Le Cordon Bleu. Her cooking career has a place in American history, as many remember her as an enthusiastic and opinionated chef. With her many television series and cookbooks, her legacy still lives on to this day.

Her contributions and eagerness to serve her country are well remembered and appreciated by the OSS family. Julia died at the age of 91 in 2004, two days before her 92nd birthday.

Three Days of the Condor with Robert Redford, Cliff Robertson and CIA media-imposter PHAYE FUNAWAY.
A watered-down, limited hangout-sort of misleadingly muted criticism of the CIA is what it gives us.

But look at the Redford character's job: combing the media
for planted clues and signals of covert operations activities and networks. Sound familiar? He forgot to tell us tha the imposter Funaway is a media psy-ops plant also:

Plot

Joe Turner (Robert Redford) is a CIA employee who works in a clandestine office in New York City. He is not a field agent, and indeed bristles at Agency discipline; among other things, he wonders why he can't tell people what he does for a living and notes "I trust some people..that's a problem". His job is in the OSINT field: he has to read books, newspapers, and magazines from around the world, looking for hidden meanings and new ideas. As part of his duties, Turner files a report to CIA headquarters on a low-quality thriller novel his office has been reading, pointing out strange plot elements therein, and the unusual assortment of languages in which the book has been translated (Arabic but not French, Spanish but not Russian, and Dutch).

The movie begins on the day in which Turner expects a response to his report. While he is out getting lunch, a group of armed men, led by an Alsatian assassin later identified as Joubert (Max von Sydow), executes the six people in the office. Turner returns, realizes he is in grave danger, and calls an emergency telephone number. He later goes to the home of a co-worker who stayed home sick from work and finds him dead as well.

On giving his code name, "Condor," he is put in contact with Higgins (Cliff Robertson), Deputy Director, CIA New York City. Higgins, who is at this point not involved in the conspiracy and is legitimately concerned, directs Turner to keep quiet. Turner's section chief Wicks states he will bring Turner in.

Wicks brings an old friend of Turner's (Sam) along to help put him at ease. But Wicks is part of the conspiracy and tries to kill Turner. Turner shoots Wicks who, just before collapsing, shoots Sam; Turner escapes with his life. Realizing that he cannot trust anyone within the CIA, Turner calls in again and begins to play a cat-and-mouse game with Higgins.

Turner now sets off to solve the mystery of the killings on his own. Needing a place to hide, he forces a woman he saw in a ski shop, Kathy Hale (Faye Dunaway), to take him to her apartment. He holds her prisoner while he attempts to figure out what's going on. He ties her up in her bathroom and takes her truck to go to his friend's apartment. When he gets there and makes contact with Sam's wife, she is cooking and readying for a dinner party; she tells Turner that she got a call earlier in the day - from someone unknown - that Sam would be working late. Apparently, she doesn't know what happened to her husband but told Turner that someone's been calling and hanging-up. It's at this time Turner has her immediately discontinue cooking dinner and go to Bill and Eileen's apartment upstairs. At this time Joubert, arriving by elevator to the floor where Sam's apartment is, sees Turner getting Sam's wife onto the elevator.
