Dalai Lama hospitalised with abdominal pains: doctor
NEW DELHI (AFP) - The Dalai Lama has been hospitalised due to abdominal pain and could undergo surgery on Friday, a senior doctor told AFP, but his spokesman insisted that he was only undergoing "routine tests." The spiritual leader was admitted to a state-run New Delhi hospital on Thursday following media reports that abdominal pains for which he had spent four days in a Mumbai hospital in August had recurred.
A senior doctor at New Delhi's Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, who did not wish to be identified, told AFP that the Dalai Lama, a former Nobel peace Prize winner, had been hospitalised.
"He was admitted when he complained of abdominal pain and now chances are that the Dalai Lama will be operated upon, most probably tomorrow (Friday)," the doctor said.
Hospital chief Nalini Kaul declined to comment on the Dalai Lama's health or what treatment he would receive but the Press Trust of India, quoting unnamed sources, also said the monk was likely to be operated upon on Friday.
However, a spokesman for the Dalai Lama dismissed the report of surgery and said that the spiritual leader was undergoing "routine tests."
The Buddhist monk had been scheduled to return to his home-in-exile in northern India on Thursday, but spokesman Tenzin Takhla told AFP that the 73-year-old would now remain in hospital at least until Saturday.
"There is nothing to worry about as His Holiness is undergoing routine tests for which he had to be hospitalised," Takhla said, rejecting the reports of surgery.

Yes, there is a Dalai Lama double who seems to travel all over the US appearing at colleges and universities, making speeches and giving interviews. The real Dalai Lama, if he's still alive, must be in his 80s at least and looks far older than his much younger double. The double, in an interview with Larry King, said that he was born or raised in INDIA.
I can tell you who I think the double is, though it may seem preposterous and ludicrous to some. He is the reincarnation of Thomas Merton, the Cistercian U.S. monk who died in 1967 or 1968. Before his death, Merton made a trip overseas to Asia and made the long trek up to Tibet to visit with and confer (about spiritual matters) with the Dalai Lama. Then he travelled to Bangkok, Thailand, to an international conference of monks and nuns and died under what some of us believe are suspicious circumstances.
If it's Merton reborn, he would be at the most 30 years old.

The Dalai Lama was reported to be "missing" for weeks following the raid from the CIA base camp in India, and then they produced a Falai Fama for the cameras in India; and so the "Dalai Lama in exile" fake story began. |

I think I can say with certainty that the original Dalai Lama is either dead or incapacitated. The "imposter" or double is the reincarnation of the Trappist/Cistercian monk Thomas Merton. Right before Merton's death on December 10, 1968 in Thailand, he made a long trek into Tibet to meet the Dalai Lama. They had long discussions on Merton's method of meditation vs. the Tibet Buddhist way. The Dalai Lama told Merton that he was at the second level of their three levels of skill.
It's common for famous persons, even in religion, to scout out the place of their next reincarnation. That's what Merton did. This means that the "imposter" as you call him is, at the most, 43 years old. I'm surprised that nobody questions that the original Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, born in 1935, who should be 80+ years old now, looks suddenly like a 40 year old man.

Mainstream Media Confirm Dalai Lama is A CIA Asset That the Tibetan Dalai Lama is a CIA asset was just a conspiracy theory, has now been confirmed as fact by the Los Angeles Times and the agency itself. This brings to question how much of what the media consider as theory now would end up later on as fact? How much of what the media consider as “fake news” right now would end up later on as the accurate account of an event?
